Re: CD4 decoder for Beogram 3400
Menahem, Thanks very much for this input. I picture is really the best way to show - the Beogram 3400 with a build in decoder excists. And also your photo shows the BG6000 decoder cannot fit in. I really hope "one day" to find this decoder or a Beogram 3400 with the decoder. It a kind of passion...

Re: Best B&O Amp
To me the best sounds from the 4400 are clearly with tone controls defeated, and believe me this is not subtle! I wish the Beolab had the same feature!
The Beolab 5000 have the same function as the Beomaster 4400. You need to "move" a couple of sliders...

Beogram RX 2
My dad gave me the B & O, without a cartridge, years ago and it sat around while I used my SL, until I got sick-to-death of it, being manual. I put it back in it's box. I was going to sell it on eBay but decided to keep it a few more years to see if they go up, considering the SL1200MK2 is not...

B&O amplifier performance.
Many Beoworlders spend a lot of hours and money refurbishing the classic B&O products. The normal “test” of all the effort is a listening to the sound quality, which is really ok and always needed. Have you ever considered being able to measure the specifications and compare the specifications...

Re: B&O amplifier performance.
To day I have finish building this 3.rd. gen. interface / buffer and I have been testing the result. I am really very happy about what i have gained by this new updated build. All the specifications of the test equipment have been improved quit considerable and my test of the classic B&O products...

Re: B&O amplifier performance.
This is very interestiing Frede and I for one would love to be able to measure equipment that I am working on without the worry of old equipment being out of spec :-) Tell us more please! BTW Have you considered software based wow & Flutter measurement? Would be superb...

Re: B&O amplifier performance.
I have received a few questions regarding "what can be measured" with the soundcard and soundcard buffer ? This is the parameters: (I know because this is the parameters I am measuring on costumers products when I perform a full restoration) FM receiver Sensibility Frequency range Signal/Noise...

The sound of 1963 (or so)
Today I have been listening to complete music system of the sixties. I have of course been listening to the individual product many times, but since I recently found the speakers of the same period I can now listen to the full system The amplifier is the “HI FI Stereo forstærker” 608...

Re: The sound of 1963 (or so)
Well done Frede! A beautiful truly vintage system! Now, of course, I want one! I guess that the speakers are very hard to come by though... there is a 41F for sale at the moment.
You are right, I think the most rare product is the two golden high tone speakers...

Re: Beogram 1000 trouble
I managed to get a Beogram 1001 which was sold for parts, but to my horror it had no counterweight either when it arrived :( So once again I am asking. Does anyone have a Beogram 1000 or anything else with the ST/L-15 pickup who could measure and weigh the counterweight for me?! Or if anyone has a spare...
