  • Beomaster 1900 remote controlled by Beolink 1000

Yes, it's happening! I've long had this project in my head, and now being ill and bored for a couple of days I started thinking about it. I've been studying the schematics for the 1900 and the 2400 and I think it should be quite simple. (In the following I will talk about FM1 but the concept...

  • Broken Power Switch Beomaster 1900

Hi All, New to the forum. I have decided to try and breath some life into a beomaster 1900. I bought it new in 1978, but it has been out of service for 10 years. To get started, I need to replace the power switch, but can't find one anywhere. I was thinking about trying to fit something as an alternative...

  • Beomaster 1900 with nearly no sound output

Hi, can anybody help me fix my beautiful Beomaster 1900? I got it recently, and all the lights and switches seem to work fine, but there is almost no sound going out of the master. If I turn the volume all the way up, I get a little and very poor sound from the speakers. Any suggestions to what the problem...

  • Beomaster 1900 only stand-by light

Dear members, I recently received a Beomaster 1900 (type 1903), which powers up, but only the stand-by light is burning constantly. If I try a different button( like a preset FM), there is the sound of the relay for a fraction of a second, but nothing more. If I take a break and push a button again,...

  • First attempt at Beomaster 2400 'refurbishing'

Hello All, Starting my first real repair project on a Beomaster 2400 - no previous BeoFixing experience, but lots of electronic DIY. This model came from my Dad, which is why i said yes to try to fix it, besides always having wanted to having fixed a Beomaster by myself (counting on a little help from...

After some deliberation, I turned the Beomaster on. It turned itself off immediately and gave a blue puff of smoke. Plus one of the 220VAC fuses blown. Finally i did, what Dillen has told me (and many others) to do from the start : Test/measure all components in the output stage. Nothing seemed to be...

Finally got some spare time and got the 2400 out of the closet. Pulled the cooling fans off the output transistors and desoldered them all (IC200,201,300,301). Actually a lot easier than i would have thought, lesson learned. First one (IC200) came out in two parts, see the picture below and the Peak...

Got a little spare time, which immediately went into the Beomaster 2400 on the kitchen dining-room workbench (no room for guests this week). Looking at the 'volume up mute' issue, where volume would play briefly and then mute for the first 3-4 taps on 'vol up', I measured out 'any...

I thinks this project is almost done. Did a FM tuner check yesterday, reception is surprisingly good, with only a short length of 0.75mm2 wire pushed into the antenna plug Only headphone hum left to fix. Tried two different jack-to-mini-jack converters and 3 different headphone types so an issue with...
