G'day all!

I had a search for this but i couldn't find the info i need... is it possible (or even feasable) to convert HDMI to RGB SCART? I need to connect a T-Box (digital HD set top box in australia) I want the clear picture i'm used to from using a regular set top box with scart.

any pointers? or anyone done the same? I still have a good quality converter which converts component to RGB scart, but my AVANT is still in storage - it's a long story.

Cheers for any help! :)

Hi Dave,

Which version of the T-Box is it?

The latest > with the mini din connector on the back - which solves my problem with the cable to component! oops :)

I know you have solved your particular issue, but in case others are looking at the HDMI to Scart (Composite) issue I can say I bought one of these to connect my ATV-1 (HDMI) to my Beovison 5 (Scart) and it was simply "plug and play". It does not even require power and works out of the box. I did see cheaper, but this one seemed to have good customer reviews :o)

PS - I did use the fix that forces composite out of the component connections on the ATV but got fed up with having to keep doing it every time there was an issue with the ATV and I had to unplug it.

G'day thanks for the info, however the aim here (for me anyway) is to avoid that awful picture quality that is from Composite, otherwise there's no point in keeping such a big heavy old TV... it's all about the PQ! :)
