Take a look at the items from this seller.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/ia-av/m.html?item=321177743257&pt=UK_Sound_Vision_HiFi_Separates_Systems_Combos&hash=item4ac7af6f99&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

£50k for a Limited Edition BS9000, and only £5k postage too!

Lots of obsolete phones and other items being sold as new and sealed and with a 3 year B&O guarantee.

£1250 for a replacement glass for a BS9000.

Is this a desperate but  genuine dealer who has lost his marbles?

I saw it also and was wondering whether he is just delusional, or just has a lot time on his hands to post things like this.

BV11-55, BS9000, BL1, BL19, Transmitter 1, Beo4, Beocom 6000, BeoTalk1 200, Sennheiser HD600, McIntosh MHA100

He's heard the expression "There's a sucker born every minute" and has decided to go fishing for one.

I saw one of his adverts a while ago.  They are still for sale.  Beolab 3 floor stands for

£1,650.00 (floor stands only).  I sent him a message asking if this was correct.  He said it was.  I sent back a message 'I think you need to take yourself to the hospital (psychiatric section)'

I also saw his listing, and could find how to report him to eBay.

However I tried to report some sellers selling fake designer clothes to eBay before and nothing happened.

That guy is a total scumbag.

BANG & OLUFSEN - Beosound 9000 Limited Edition - Glass Top. Brand New *2013*

Is the glass top on a white BS 9000 any different to the standard one?  I think not.  His prices are outrageous.  Looks like he is trying to trick people into buying an item thinking they are getting the whole item, be it Speakers (speaker stands only - mentioned somewhere near the end of the advert on small writing) or even the previously mentioned item.

I got shafted by some dog buying a Ltd. edition white beosound 9000 'new' of eBay.  It arrived form Germany.  it was missing the engraving on the clamper.  I checked the serial number and it was 12 years old!  I put a paypal claim in and they said item matches description??????  I must be missing something.  12 years old vs. new....  doesn't seem to match description in my opinion, so I just sold it as a copy, and found another new one from UK.

Plenty of dodgy ones out there, including this piglet.

The fees are a joke for an automated site......  They're not even scaled in price brackets.

I made an enquiry for his 'Beolab 3 Loudspeakers Floorstand'.

The listing talked about the Beolab 3s and Playmaker, so I asked if the Playmaker was included. His response was that the playmaker is not included in the auction.

I replied "So it's just the loudspeakers and floorstands....". His response was "The listing is for the BeoLab 3 Loudspeakers Floor Stand."

I then asked "Are the loudspeakers white as in the picture?". His response was very misleading:

Dear customer,

Thank you for your email once again.

Everything is as it has been advertised on eBay.

The image used is a stock photo as the product is brand new sealed (boxed).

The image consists of:

Beolab 3 Floor stand - Aluminium (Included)
Beolab 3 - White

This listing is for the BeoLab 3 Loudspeakers Floor Stand only.

Thank you.

I explained that this is very ambiguous, and that if the Loudspeakers are not included and I had have purchased I would have been extremely upset. His response...:

Dear customer,

The listing is placed under the floor stands category.

We apologise if you have found it a little confusing.

We get so many people who waste so much time and place orders for something they do not pay for. For this reason we have listed this item at a higher price as only serious buyers would offer the correct amounts.

Thank you for your enquiry. We hope you find done Lab 3's you are seeking.

Note that he refused to drop the word 'Loudspeakers'. Surely using this word tells a buyer that there are loudspeakers included, particularly as most of the listing talks about the loudspeakers. Not once did he actually say the loudspeakers are NOT included...

This to me is very suspect, and I'm sure his intention is to mislead in his favour. To me this is another way of saying that his intentions are fraudulent, and this makes him nothing more than a conman. This is evident particularly as he never directly answered my question, instead he only answered me ambiguously and misleadingly.

In the legal world this is known as Misleading and Deceptive Conduct

Quite simple - just scroll down a bit and on the right you will see the words 'Print' and 'Report Item'.  The problem is, he isn't committing a reportable offense.  He's simply trolling (as in fishing) for buyers with more money than brains who will purchase the item at that outrageous price.  He has no intention of scamming people, and if he did, buyers would have recourse - e.g. by initiating a dispute, in which case Paypal will put a hold on the payment.  You could also retaliate with negative feedback - you will note his is 100% positive.  Lastly, you will notice the words 'Returns Accepted' in his listing.  There are other sellers who do the exact same thing - just not to the blatant extent that this guy does.

Based on past consumeristic behaviors charging the uninformed consumers more money had always been a good business strategy. There are always be going to be those few who are not price sensitive.

If there is some 'not price sensitive' people out there who are willing to pay £10.000 for postage, then I have some items to sell...Laughing
