Recently I have been working on the project to integrate a V1 into my ML network.

in my main room I have an audio master (BS3000) and a video master (BS3). The video master already distributes video signals via HDMI matrix. I have tested different way to do the integration: Beo Link Active or Beo Link Video. As at some points I needed IR-macros I use my Beo6 to operate the sources.

Works like a charm. If someone is interested I can post details.

Hi Millemissen,

I setup two sources for the V1:

The first one: HDMIx input for the Master Linked HDMI input.

The second one: The analogue input for the Master Linked sound input.

When using BeoLink Video, the solution is very close to that I described in my guide for integrating BeoPlay speakers as ML link speakers. When using BeoLink Active it is simpler as you do not need to solder custom plugs.

BeoLink Video: The IR input is received by a Lintronic box and controls the commands issued to ML and the local IR commands to control V1. When activating a video source: After sending the Link Commands to ML the HDMIx input is activated by issuing the assigned source command. When activating a audio source: After sending the Link Commands to ML the analogue source is activated by issuing the assigned source command and additionally an P.Mute command is issued.

BeoLink Active: There you have two options: You can use the Lintronic box as well, to have the IR commands automated when using Beo4. Alternatively you can use a Beo6 to build the IR Macros to have a one button press solution. To seperate the IR commands giong to ML (via BL Active) and the local IR commands, you simply set the BL active to opt 4. The processing of IR signals is similar to the one for BL Video

I've implemented the BL Video option as I had a unused Lintronic box available from an older installation. BL Video 35 EUR+B&O V1 cable 30 EUR
