Have I missed something, or has this new TV already been discussed somewhere?

That doesn't look like a simple frame and 'Stage & panel' combo which someone else mentioned on another thread. Looks decent.

Indeed. It looks like a BeoVision with some classic elements from earlier designs. Looking forward to learn more in near future.

Looks nice but no NL and PL kill it for me.

Great looking set though

NL and/or PL will probably be for the mk II version. Same thing rumoured for the Stage...

The Stage is NL compatible, so why shouldn’t the BV Contour be NL compatible as well.

The question is: will it have an audio engine, that will alow for a multichannel setup using Beolabs?

I think all those questions will be answered shortly when the set is released.

PL outputs may cost a bit of R&D for B&O but it drives speaker sales...

What about the Canvas speaker stand? (Canvas.audio) the contour is finally approximately the same concept, but it will soon become a product, not just a vaporware... interestingly, the canvas was starting at 55 inches (for an estimated price of USD 2000 without the LG panel)

According to the intelligence I have received, it will not...

Strange decision. Sometimes I don’t understand bno.

It really can’t cost a lot to add.

Same with the Stage that does not support additional speakers - not even wisa.

But they must have their intel from somewhere if it brings enough value to customers (and B&O).

Might be that in B&O strategic decision making chain there is still a lot of old fashioned "restrict-unless-you-pay-for-all" thinking vs modern "start-free-and-then-pay-for-content" approach in product design and marketing. Imagine you buy a basic Stage, and then you pay 500€ to unlock WISA. Wouldn't that be cool?

Buy a Contour, and unlock features if you need them. How much a small logic board with electronic could cost today, to be embedded as a part of the basic config? I am so afraid B&O is mentally obsolete in the modern world that just do not tolerate that kind of entitled attitude.

Anyway, I like how Contour looks like and I sincerely wish it becomes a bestseller.

I do wonder how much bespoke b&o electronic design really happens these days rather than off-the-shelf solutions cobbled together or ready-made designs sourced in China.

Ban boring signatures!

The Contour looks amazing, well done to who ever designed it.

I don't think the name suits it though.

Even though I have a beautiful BV14 in the bedroom, and use it as a stand alone television, I'm not sure I would have purchased it if it didn't have the possibility to add additional speakers incase I wanted to move it to another room or so on.

That's one thing that is stopping me buying a Stage, no engine to run additional speakers.

It's only speculation at this stage until it's all released.

Congrats B&O.
