I have to remove my DVD player as it is only opening 2/3 of the way.
In de service manual it says that there is a screw onder the cover, but you have to have a special tool to remove it.
Is there a way round this ?
Has anyone removed the DVD unit from a Beovision 7
All tips welcome
Ken
Nobody ?
Anybody out there ?
Hi, as far as I know you need to remove the Touchpanel from the DVD cover and there are 2 holes somewhere where you have to carefully release some snaplocks with a screwdriver and there is an additional screw - but I can't remember where. Please have a look at a service manual for the Beovision 7 series for details. Available as a silver/gold member on this site
Thanks for the reply
Have looked at the service manual, and the two holes are under the cover, have tried a screwdriver but cant fell anything.
The manual shows a special tool, but I cant see what it looks like as the drawing is too small.
Someone must have done this job before, just dont want to break the cover off.
Anybody out there that has stripped a Beovision 7
Would really like to get the DVD player out.
More than once..
As pointed, put a screwdriver into the hole from underneath and pull the cover horizontal away. The holes are meant to push the plastic clip a bit to the side. Twice. Then from from behind there is just 1 screw, afaik and pull back the DVD player.
And of course the horizontal plastic bar underneath the screen has to be removed.
Btw, the cover lowers only just a centimeter. Just enough to make place for the tray coming out.
Thanks Beobuddy,
I have put a screwdriver in de holes and tried every which way to push the clips, there dose not seem to be any movement.
I can pull the cover a bit down bij hand, can I see the clips ??
Thanks for the tips everyone, its a 7-32 mk 5 so I dont want to break it. Will just have to live with it I quess.
The DVD player on the Beovision 7 must be the best player B&O have every had.
No one seems to have any need to dismantel it.
Maybe I am just unlucky.
I just removed my cover on an older version. I used an allen key in the holes underneath the cover and then pulled the cover straight towards me, one side at time.
I tried to upload a picture but I didn't mange to succede.
