I've had the good fortune of aquiring an old Beosound 3000 and a set of Beolab 8000 speakers.

I think the laser has failed on the cd function so I'll really only be using my Ipad/iphone to stream music wirelessly and was wondering if anyone could possibly advise what my best options are on a modest budget?

The speakers are fantastic and whilst I could hardwire the setup from speaker to Beosound a wireless option here would also be preferable for alternative room configrations.

Last but not least, I'd love to connect the same system/speakers to my TV which is LG and offers an array of ports.

Hope somebody can help, Merry Christmas when it comes......

Many Thanks

WOW that's a nice step up!

iPhone wise, order an Apple Airport Express at around £80. I guess then you will need a lead from this to the BS3000. Steve at Sounds Heavenly is the guy for this.

With the LG TV there should be a photo output and then again it's Steve at SH for a photo to whatever the BS3000 socketery is.

There you go dude all for under £100.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the recommendation!  If the TV has a headphone socket fitted, then you just need one cable to connect either the TV, iPod or an Airport Express to the Aux socket of the Beosound, by simply plugging in the device that you wish to listen to (you can see details of this cable here:

You can either connect this cable to an iPod directly, or using the Apple Universal iPod Dock (costing around £30 GBP from Apple stores in the UK), as this dock has the same connector fitted as the iPod.  Please set the iPod, Airport Express or TV volume to maximum when connecting to the B&O system – this is normal when using a headphone connection with a home audio system due to the low output levels produced.

To listen to the iPod/Airport Express/TV, simply press "A.Aux" on the B&O keypad, or select this on the B&O remote control by pressing the "LIST" button until the display shows "A.AUX", then pressing "GO".

If you want a solution that allows you to keep several devices connected to the Beosound at once, please let me know and I will be happy to suggest some options to consider.

Kind regards, Steve.
