I thought I knew everything about this TV, but I guess not.

Has or is anyone running a setup with a Beolab 7.1 or 7-2 or 7-6 (the sound bars) and two surround speakers ?

If so how did you manage do the speaker setup ?

Hi,

there might be a solution if you don't want Dolby Sourround Sound with your setup but sound from the front and the back:

In the speaker setup give the BV a BeoLab7.2, define your front speakers as Beolab 4000, 8000... and connect the Beolab 7.2 to the corresonding powerlink connection, then add your rear speakers.

Now define the Video speaker default and Audio speaker default mode to 'Speaker 4'. This should give a stereo sound stage with rear speakers also used and center channel information mixed to the left and right front and rear channels.

The only drawback is that you are limited to stereo and you shouldn't play around with the Beo4 'Speaker' function. This could select another speaker mode which uses the imaginary center channel Smile The most speaker modes use the center channel ( 1,3,5 )

The seemingly impossible task can actually be achieved with a cable from Steve Big Smile

Does not work, thus the question!

You can only add surround speakers AFTER fronts have been defined, which you cant since they are part of the Centre (Beolab 7-2)

If the 7-2 is moved to another PL output and used as front, then you lose the centre...  catch 22.

I would assume the would be a standard configuration, but apparently its impossible?
