Trouble using Beoplay H8i

I have had the H8i headphones for a year now. There is one button and one light. When I push the button, the light turns on and then goes off. Did I hold the button long enough? Did I turn them on? Did I turn them off? Sometimes they are connected to my phone via bluetooth and I am playing something. I turn them off (or think I do). A few minutes later, they are playing through my headphones again.


How do I ensure that I have turned them on or off?
