Hallo,

I just got a PUC cable from SoundsHaevenly.

A Dreambox DM8000 is connected to my BV-10 by HDMI.

Could you help me for the configuration of the PUC ?

I went to MENU / OPTIONS / CONNECTIONS / AV1

here I set :

IR SOCKET to PUC 1

IR TYPE to IR

When clicking on PUC 1 I get a SET-TOP BOX menu with:

T-Home.         1

Apple Remote 2

Technisat.       3

Where may I find the PUC list for my Dreambox ?

Thanks for your help

gerard

PUC list has to be uploaded by B&O technician, B&O service tool needed.

I think their is a PUC list in the TV, as the Service Menu says:

Monitor Information:

PUC TABLE.  05.25b

does that mean the PUC list is already loaded onto the TV?

Hi gerard,

Pat is correct, your local B&O technician needs to visit (or you need to take the TV to him) so that he can add the Dreambox codes to the PUC list on your Beovision 10.  This is a good opportunity to get the TV software updated and to also add any other set top boxes or players to the PUC list that you may wish to use in the future.

Newer TVs (V1 and Beovision 11 onwards) can update their PUC list automatically via the internet, but Beovision 10 cannot do this - a visit from a local B&O technician in person is required.

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.

Thanks Steve,

I know that a BO technician has to update the BV 10 to get the latest PUC list.

My Question now,

is it possible that PUC TABLE. 05.25b only has 3 devices listed?

I thought my BV being from 2011 it would have all the devices listed from the 2011 PUC list ?

I’m afraid the PUC lists don’t work that way - the technician selects the boxes that are supported from a (very) long list. There just isn’t enough memory to hold all the devices, so when the tv is delivered to a customer, only the required ones are uploaded. Some dealers thought ahead and added a few key generic PUC codes (Samsung, LG, Panasonic) for future use, but generally, you only have what is there. When the service technician comes along, ask him to upload all the ‘common’ PUC codes he can think of - it may help in the future.

There may have been a lot more devices in the original PUC list.

But - as frog writes - it is common use to renew this list (most of the devices were old/useless entries), when the owner ask for it.

Doing this overwrites the old list - and you have only the entries, that seemed needed at the time of change.

P.S. There must be more than 3 entries in the list - but for Set-top boxes there are only the 3, that you see.

I am afraid you will have to bite the bullet - and have a dealer/technician upload a new list of the now required codes.

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV.
