ok, same sort of question, different start of point. What would B&O have to do, in a hypothetical perfect millimissen world, to make you buy a new BV right now? all things else being the same.
is there anything they can do to make you buy a new BV or is that just out of the question?
New: Beolab 50's, Beolab 18's, Beolab 17's, Beovision eclipse, Beosound 9000 mk3, Beosound 1 Bronze edition, Beoplay M3, Beoplay A1.
Mikipedia on YouTube (finally )
https://www.youtube.com/c/Mikipedia
Old: Beolab 1's, beolab 2, beovision 10-46, overture 2300, beolab 8000's, beolab 4000's, beovision avant 32" etc. etc.
That - indeed - is a highly hypothetical question.
Maybe you noticed that I wrote ‘when time comes’ - which means, that I have no need for a change right now.
My setup fairly does, what I expect of it and need (there is even room for a couple more speakers on the Avant).
And - not to ignore - it is also a financial question....besides why sell something that works, works well for the little money, you get for ‘old’ B&O stuff?
What bothers me, is whether B&O will offer something like what I described above - something that can be seen as a further development of what they already do.....they have some skills, that other companies don’t have.
Or if they are going to offer that only in a luxury version (like the BV Harmony is) and let a soundbar solution take over the rest?
Let’s not panic - I have often been called a fanboy - I am an optimist when it comes to B&O.....but still I have my concerns.
Let’s see, what comes - I am not in a hurry.
If I had to buy another BV as a replacement for my Avant 1.gen, I’d even concider a current BV Eclipse...........oh wait, I’d probably buy a preloved Avant as an interim solution in order to be able to wait for the rumoured Eclipse v.2 🙂
Does that answer the question?
I’d buy ‘anything’ that has the B&O audio engine, a good 3.0 built-in speaker solution and B&O remote control in it.........at max 65”.
Personally I don’t care for stand or movement options - my tv must be wall-mounted anyway.
But of course that should be an option for those, who care.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV.
Oh, I forgot:
’ ....anything, that has.....’ and NL (since I use my tv’s as part of the B&O multiroom experience) and PUC control (I still don’t trust in CEC).
Hi Guys,
On Tomorrow's Podcast Steve from soundsheavenly.com will join us once again
Don't forget that the clocks changed here in Europe so depending on where you are it may be a hour earlier than you expected/is usual. The link is here: https://youtu.be/hS7-YMBCubU
We hope to see you all there!
Michael
P.S. For those that can't decide between us and Formula 1, I'll have it on in the background so we can all watch a wee bit
aaaand we're live!
https://youtu.be/hS7-YMBCubU
The A1 and the P6 are nice devices - but just bluetooth speakers (I like my A1, would not want to miss it).
The BS1 and M3 have already been heavily discussed and shown on the podcast (and yes, I like my M3 too....although it is not very much used here).
Actually I am more interested in how you use your BL17’s, how these are set up, upmixing yes/no etc etc........and if others have personal experience with a more than 5.1 (B&O) setup?
Quations like do we need a fully fletched 5.1 or more setup nowadys from B&O or is what the Stage offers actually enough for the majority, could be asked....to put very provocative.

I always thought that our rather small living room would determine the size of my speakers.
I am not so sure anymore, since I saw this room (in the B&O shop in Silkeborg/DK):
