New:

- alarm
- skip tracks from your device via Beolit 17 (but just forward, no backward)
- USB C
- faster charging
- tone touch (custom playlist via touch of the button)
- last track played

two colors:
- natural
- stone grey

if "stone grey" is the same color as on the Beoplay A1 it'll look great (only the color, the A1 still looks just ugly and stays unergonomical) Wink

No Multiroom? With it, Beolit 17 could be a Play alternative for the Beosound 1. Missed opportunity for portable in-house Multiroom solution,, the lit is so much more good looking than the M5, in my opinion.

I'm the other way around. I love the design of the A1, but think the BeoLit 12/15/17 looks like something designed in about 1993!

Well, those who think they need this 'OneTouch' function, will buy it.

Personally I don't understand this upgrade ;-(

Will be interesting to hear from someone, who has compared the 15 and the 17.

Maybe that will justify the change?

John o' Manchester, where are you?

I meant to write: '...compared the 15 and the 17 soundwise',

I wonder if the "more powerful sound" is the heavier bass that seems to have crept into product offerings of late.

Ban boring signatures!

I agree. Fasting charging for the folk that use it on the move, ok but I reckon 99% of these things will sit plugged into a garage/kitchen wall all of their lives.

If i want to rewind something that's being played from my mobile device(next to me or in my pocket) why would I want to traipse across my kitchen and climb up to do so? Alarm...again on my mobile device.

The colours that are initially being released are simply dull and lazy, even more so when you consider B&O is a "lifestyle" company. Grey!

None of this should really matter, but what bothers me is that this small company must have very limited personnel and resources to fire at projects. When you consider the debacle that is the Beovision 14, I think they've got bigger fish to fry than adding pointless usability to an already solid device.

Beovision 10, Beolab 2, Beosound 2(old Skool) Beolit 15, Beoplay A2 Active

Don't understand this upgrade either.

Hope John from Manchester will do a review soon. Smile

Don't like that when Beoplay release a product that it comes in so few colours. Black and grey only?
Guess I don't need to upgrade my Beolit 15 in pink to the 17.

I don't dislike the bl15/17 shape but love the A1 too. I think it is a virtual masterpiece of sound and design. Just goes to show the need to produce a range of options I guess.

Well, it's also had a price increase too - from £399 to £449 in the UK.

The EU and DK prices are exact the same for the 17 as for the 15 - in the list on the B&O Play website.

I already have one BeoLit 15 and was considering getting a second to pair for stereo. It looks like one can't pair a BeoLit 17 with a BeoLit 15 for stereo. Therefore, maybe I'll pick up a second BeoLit 15.

Oddly, in the US, the BeoLit 15 is listed as $100 MORE than the BeoLit 17.

Should this not be classified as an upgraded BeoLit 15 or is each version/mark going to have a different number mattering on the year and if so what happens in 3017 ?

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

Mark, where'll you be in 3017? I think, in B&O, the names are always being reuse.d Like BeoSound 1 or 2. All has been reused for different Generations, even BeoLit!
