Looks more like a BG5000 to me. The front panel is embedded in the wooden surface, and I can't think of other BeoGrams than 5000, 5005, 5500, 6500 and 7000 that have this kind of front panel. And the only radial one of them is the 5000.

The 4 control buttons with the 'CUE' function on the left make it a BG1800 and not any of the 5000 series.  The 5000 only has three control buttons.

Sorry Dave, but that is incorrect. It's actually the other way around. Besides that, the BG1800 is not equipped with an 'OPEN' function nor a red light in the lower right-hand corner of the top plate.

You're right Dennis. That will teach me to look at an eBay picture (of an incorrectly labelled sale) rather than switch the lights on in the other room and take a look!

It's been neatly done but impractical with no dust cover. Nice wood too.

Dave.

I think it's a BeoGram 5000 in its entirity.

It looks like the arm and platter of a BeoGram 5000 - and the four operating buttons look like BeoGram 5000 too, just cut out of the platter surround.
