Hello,

This gorgeous deck came with an excellent SP10, it is in good condition overall - except for the infamous desiccated rubber feet that make any metal around rusty, only screws here.

Now my query is the following: the deck is complete, but one part is missing. It is part 21, simply called "mat" in the service manual.

Could any of you show me what it looks like, what it is made of, and, most importantly, measure its three dimensions?

Thanks!

Jacques

Progress.  I got the adapter off but the split ring was very tight.  I haven't managed to lose it yet.  I just need to find my circlip tool to take the clip off to measure the foam.

I'll be back!

Dave.

Hi Jacques, mission accopmlished.

Photo of the TT off and the parts, including the foam which is not fixed in any way:

And the measurements.  The foam is approximately 4mm thick though I suspect was a bit more when new.  The other dimensions can be calculated from this picture.  It does not reach the outer circumference of the strobodisc.
I have now put it all back together including inserting the tachodisc in the groove of the mat.  Much more stable now.
Dave.

Hi Jacques. Check out eBay.de and search for Beogram 1800. I saw two today, one is 489 EUR and the other is 549 EUR! Madness. They aren't that scarce.

Yes, I've come across those. As you say, sheer madness. They don't even look very good at all!

There is another one up for auction too, currently at 23 €. I paid 50 € for mine with a very good SP10... It just needed some lubrication and the foam disc.

The trouble with those seems to be corrosion, and mine is okay fortunately.

Bonjour Jacques,

Hi Robin,

That manual is one of those I still miss, unfortunately.

Not so common I’m afraid.

If ever you came across a mint one, do tell us!

I’ve been looking for years, I must say.

Jacques
