Hey guys, so I visited my local B&O dealer today. While I was discussing a probable upgrade, he told me that B&O is about to come up with some out of the world, extraordinary products this year and that he was not at liberty to say. Is that true? Does anyone here have any idea?

What does it sound like? I buy B&O for the sound just as much as the picture. This looks very nice but I don't quite see the purpose. The large translucent bit of glass at the base seems to have nothing behind it so is simply a piece of glass. The top is great but if it is that slim, what are the speakers like?

And this is very interesting:

"The DesignLine also features MultiRoom which lets you stream what's being shown on the TV to any compatible TV in the house."

Exactly this feature I expected from B&O's Netlink in BV 11!

So the answer to Subject "B&O's future line up" is probabably: There will be no future for B&O!

Räuber

+1 Peter

I already own a Philips led tv and I use it only for watching video, its sound is really bad compared to my old beovision 5.

I would say, it is a real shame to offer such a bad sound for such a good design.

Nothing is perfect in this world, so I take the best of the 2 worlds.

Philips has always been one of the best AV company , that 's why b&o and Philips were partner in the past.

Multiroom with WIfi, well, we will see in 10 years how you will be able to receive your video and audio file through all these waves.

beolab 5, beolab 9, beolab 3, beolab 10, beolab 5000, beolab 8000, beolab 3500, IWS 2000, beovision 7 55 mk2,  beotime, beogram 7000 white mmc2, beosound ouverture, beosound essence, beomaster 900 RG de luxe and the collection continues...

BeoBoy68:
Chris thanks for the Philips link. Really innovative project. In the past Bang & Olufsen used Philips chassis. Maybe Beo will used again. It will be very nice to buy a real 100% European product. I am tired of all these Asian TVs ! :-(

I think it has been years ago, since Philips tv's were 100% European manufactured.

And - as far as I have heard - Philips has sold their TV division to...The Asians!!!

But -correct me if I'm wrong...

If you ask in this forum which is the best bluray player to use with a Beovision, you always get the same answer: Oppo, developped and made in CHINA,

Probably we will see some other companies who will sell their TV division to China....

Thanks Steffen for your link information. If I understand, Philips sold his Know-How to TPV. Anyway, I saw on the official link that designers and technicians are European based in Belgium. Yes Raeuber, maybe next year the new CEO - Mantoni will sell either BeoTV branch for his favourite chinese customers !! Crazy world.

BeoLab 14 is coming. A subwoofer with satellites. Like a danish Bose System !

Hoping I am wrong but Bang & Olufsen will realize only speakers in the future.

My dealer said: Beo loose money with TVs and nothing comes in Audio components.

Completely off-topic, but as a sideline, I read last night that China has now overtaken Britain in exporting weapons to the world. In fact, some countries who used to buy from Britain, now buy from China, as we've stopped producing certain weapons. China is now the fourth biggest exporter.

How did we get in to this situation? And countries relying on China's software to control their military hardware, after all the recent cyber espionage?

Funny how the world order is quickly shifting to Asia and, ironically, us consumers are to blame. We demand the cheapest products, manufacturers look to the cheapest production plants, which are all in...China, thus boosting their GDP!

I replied about what I think about a future B&O audio system in another thread :)

I'm a Brit and have decided to buy British  as much I can - lots of fantastic UK designed, engineered and manufactured hifi like B&W, Naim, ATC, etc... If that'

If that's not possible the next best thing is to buy European manufactured hifi hence B&O which i love but that's a different story...hope my faith is restored this year!

We are also trying to buy local furniture like Wesley & Barrell etc..sure it's three times as expensive and takes longer to procure but the quality and satisfaction of supporting local jobs is a priority for me now. Frustrates me when i see hoards of Brits in a British concept shop like Laura Ashley but nearly all their stuff is made in a village in China in a sweat shop. Sad, very sad...
