At one B&O sale-shop in sweden it says that the Beosound Core is discontinued. Is this right?

Have someone heard anything about this?

Best Regards

Martin

I haven’t heard anything about this.

However, that would mean that there must be something else to replace it - it is needed for the BS Shape!

There is a tv - and there is a BV.

Wasn’t the Core updated at some point and subsequently given a new Part Number? I seem to remember reading that the Core underwent some minor hardware changes which warranted a new P/N. Could just be the old P/N having been declared as “Discontinued?”

B&O did an price increase on the Core, from 800 to 900€. I think they don’t do that on an discontinued product.

That’s what I was concerned about the longevity of the core as I was deciding whether to move from the beolabs with essence to core or to the level/Mozart

Core was updated at some point with a different part number to include the ability to use an IR eye. That's it. Otherwise, unchanged throughout its life, as far as I understand.

Currently: BeoLab 17, BeoLab 18, BeoSound Core, Beosound Level, Beosound A1 2nd Gen, BeoPlay S8 Connection Hub, Halo, Essence Remote

Previously: BeoSound 1 non-GVA

Maybe Mozart compatible? But now that Multiroom and Mozart can play nicely, I'm not sure why a big change would be required.

What other changes might they make to Core? :)

Currently: BeoLab 17, BeoLab 18, BeoSound Core, Beosound Level, Beosound A1 2nd Gen, BeoPlay S8 Connection Hub, Halo, Essence Remote

Previously: BeoSound 1 non-GVA

Core is not listed in the list of supported products…? https://press.bang-olufsen.com/d/gKpSDxqk8eyT/news#/january-2022/bang-olufsen-celebrates-40-years-of-multiroom-with-new-software-that-connects-past-with-present-and-future-products

Does anybody know if say the core is updated with new integrated music apps eg Apple Music does it need new hardware or just a firmware/software update? Thanks
