B&O App BETA version 3.15.0 - TuneIn logout

After the latest update the app have logged me out from TuneIn.

In all devices Im logged in, but from the app I get the message that there is no content when I press the "Radio" button in the bottom right corner of the app.

If I select play on the device, the TuneIn stations play fine and I can jump between the channels using left and right arrows in the app.

Anyone has the same problem?

Also, does anyone knows what "PHC grouping on source" mean?

It was noted under "what to test".

Same here for TuneIn. Deezer has the same issue (can’t log from the app). I reported back to B&O.

I have stopped reporting such failure in this forum as this app is getting worse and worse at all levels, old issues not corrected and new features turning quickly to issues. I gave up to be honest, B&O won

Edit: no clue what PHC means here and usually their comments on what to test are obscure to me.

I have no problems with Deezer.

I have reported to B&O.

By memory (I rolled back to previous version), in the app settings for music, Deezer is shown disconnected too.

Dear Claes,

Thank you for contacting Bang & Olufsen Support regarding your Bang & Olufsen App.

As we understand that this has been very frustrating for you, we would like to assure you that we are here to assist you. To assist you further, please could you kindly follow these steps to clear the cache on your Apple devices?

  • Locate the Bang & Olufsen app in your list of apps.
  • Long press it and tap app info.
  • Tap storage.
  • Tap clear cache.
  • Once done, please kindly restart your mobile device and then set up your product once again. 

To set up TuneIn again, please follow these steps:

  • Please place all of your products in standby mode.
  • Login in with credentials on Tunein.com.
  • In the upper right corner choose My account/settings.
  • Choose devices - delete every device that is displayed.
  • In the B&O app - press the profile icon - radio - log out of the TuneIn account.
  • Close the app and open it again - login into TuneIn account again.

If this persists, please could you kindly send us log files to evaluate the problem:

  • Open the B&O app and select the icon shaped like a person in the upper right corner to open up Settings.
  • Select Products and then the product you wish to upload a log file for.
  • Select Configure and then About in the next menu.
  • Select Diagnostics and Usage and then select Send In Log Files.
  • After you have uploaded the log files please reply to this email with the Beosound Level serial number, at what time you uploaded the log files, and at what time the issue was reproduced. Please provide the times this occurred in the format HH:MM: SS and your time zone, an example being "14:12:25" CET.

We will then forward your information to our technical department, and they will be able to look further into it.

Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please kindly include them in your reply to this email.

That is too complicated….even for me ;-)

Then just think of the thousands of user, who have no idea of what is described there.

I had updated to the newest beta (3.15.0) as per usual - it seems that the problems started there (N.B. I don’t use Deezer, but have the TuneIN problem).

Since one of my iPad Mini’s - running a regular release - did not have the problem, I simply loaded the previous beta build (3.14.2) on my iPad……and my TuneIN stations are there again.

This seems to be something that the app team should fix….not the costumer or the beta user through workarounds (we just report back!).

Would be nice to know, if the previous build also solves the problems with other users - please report back.

Rolling back to previous beta version works as expected without any user intervention to fix anything. The latest beta code is simply broken.

Support’s answer is a “default” answer not taking into consideration that it was related to the beta code and answer is not for IOS users.

I reported the issues, plus another one not mentioned here, through the beta report channel

Totally agree with rolling back to the 3.14. 5 version at the App Store. For the time being, it is the quickest and simplest resolution. B&O 's response of clearing caché, deleting all devices connected to Tunein, then restarting the B&O app simply did not work.

It may or may not be related, but there have been many reports of issues with TuneIn recently, particularly in relation to GVA and Siri. The only radio station a friend of mine could receive on his HomePod mini here in Germany was BBC 2!

Agree it’s a stupid answer and probably AI generated….

FYI, you can also downgrade to the previous beta code version from Testflight (if more recent than the public one indeed)

Goodness sake, why don’t they test this stuff out properly before causing confusion, frustration and grief to thousands of customers and dealers around the world.

Hmmm, as I understand it the release being discussed is the beta version on Testflight, version 3.15…..the whole point of this is for testing. If you want the public version it’s 3.14.2……so they are doing what you are suggesting I think…….

Maybe B&O can’t afford Deezer and TuneIn accounts ?
