Hi,
I have today a pair of BL50 connected to an Eclipse 65 with powerlink.
When listening to Deezer/DLNA Music, will the sound quality be better if I buy a Beosound Core and feed the speakers directly with Optical cable between the speakers and the Core?
Best regards
Martin

Compararing two experiences will always be very different, mostly due to the small differences in the sound pressure level and also the differences in the processing in the BV (you’d have to be very carefull there). Also our memory of listening is very short and the danger of prefering, what is ‘supposed to sound better’ is big.
So, better....hmmmm - I am not sure, what that means. But the sound might be different!
Unless you are someone who sits down a lot and listen a lot to music, I’d go for the comfort of a connection through the BV.
However - as always with music/sound - try out things in your own room and pick what you like best.

There is a tv - and there is a BV.
Hi guys,
My thoughts was IF Beosound Core with optical out directly to BL50 is a better solution regarding adioquality vs Soundcenter in the Eclipse with powerlink.
There are less D/A coversions when using a digital source directly to BL 50.
But maybe there are so little difference so it is an unnessery investment in the Core.
IF someone have tried both setup:s as described above then please give your opinion.

I quite liked the Bluesound interface when I tried the Node 2i.

When discussing the Node 2i, some forum peeps suggested it’s not really that good a streamer and not a reasonable partner to BL50. They suggested Lumin or Auralic. Those are about 5x the price of the Node 2i... maybe it’s worth it? Maybe not?

I get it. Just note that if you use the Toslink output, the Node 2i won’t fully render MQA. You’ll be limited to a max of 96/24. To get 192/24, you’ll have to use the RCA outputs (which will introduce an additional conversion step relative to keeping the source digital with Toslink).
Let us know what you think! I really liked the Node 2i. Bluesound is very slick.
