Indeed. I wish Axel had an English version of his website though!

Axel speaks good English, but I dont think he is doing his own website, he must have a lot of work in his workshop, and thats where we want himBig Smile

But maybe his webmaster could do something about it.

...  the most most important page for B&O owners about MMC needle repair is also available in English!

For all other pages use common sense - and/or let google translate Big Smile

Yes - Axel is the man. Great service, excellent job - and his English is perfectly good.

I'm surprised also that people don't have the common sense to use a free online translation tool like Google Translate.  Even if i'd never heard of it, i'd still Google the word "translate" - which is how I first found Google translate.  It's a great tool.

I also get asked on a weekly basis "how much is that in US Dollars" or "how much is that in Euro's" ...  It's not rocket science to search for that on Google either !!

Maybe I'm being unfair, but everything you could ever need is there to help you on the web.. you just have to type it in the search box.

Hello,

I'm new to this forum (and this site!).  I do agree that translating the site via Google is easy enough, but my problem, as someone totally new to the delights of B & O, is that I don't know which option to choose for the re-tipping of my MMC 1.

Can any of you experts help me?

Many thanks in advance.

If you use Google Translate, you need a lot of common sense too - to understand the translation...WinkLaughing

It's definitely not perfect...

I remember a german guy, who - in the Google translate version - told us that:
'Luckily I have a woman (whom I have exchanged) them this insanity tolerates.' ( I still haven't figured this one out...)

-and:
'If I put them in the ears mostly fly away to them and they have totally been surprised. And I them to me only a few years them to me "nicely look" had to go.'  Confused - I haven't figured this one out either...Huh?

Thanks, Steffen,

You are, of course, right.  What I guess I meant was that at least it enables you to get the general gist.  My problem is more that, even with a perfect English translation, I wouldn't know which re-tipping option to choose.

Can you tell me why/how the "Repair with shibata diamond needle with renewal of the stylus suspension" is superior to "Repair with nude line and saphire cantilever"?

Sorry, but I am a complete novice, and don't want to make the wrong choice.

Axel has retipped a number of my cartridges and all are superb. He replaced a complete cantilever and stylus on an MMC2 which was just as good as getting a new one. I have also had a couple of cartridges fitted with the Shibata stylus which really do sound fantastic and are my favourites.
