Do you think it is possible to connect 4 beolabs + a BL11 to the core?

If yes, the performance is better or worse than if the same speakers are connected to the Eclipse for listening to music.

I ask this question because I would like to replace my Beovision 8-40 and I am undecided whether to buy the Eclispse or save money and get the GX + Stage + core. I know that in this second case I would lose 5.1. surround.

Thanks for your help

One thing, keeping only the BL 17 for the music is insufficient because the living room is 70 m2.

When I use also the BL6002 and BL 11, the sound (in stereo) is much better

Should not be a big problem as long as your cabling is fit for it.

Which probably will be the case since all speakers were connected to the 8-40 (I assume).

Just place the Core there, daisychain the speakers and assign left/right according to how they are placed.

(You’ll need some adapters and splitters, but doable - ask SteveSoundsHeavenly if you need advice for this).

There is a tv - and there is a BV.

And what about an almando multiplay surround decoder 2?

This would suit al your needs!

Connect it to your new LG GX with hdmi.

You can connect all your beolabs, have 5.1 surround, streaming options, set distances, make audio-groups, etc etc.

No stage needed, only a dedicated centre speaker like a 7.1 or anything (beolabs) you can place under the GX...

thank you for your suggestion. This could be a great option.

Which beolab could I put as a center channel?

You can choose whatever you like/fits under your TV.

A extra Beolab 17, or a 7.1... 7.2... 7.4...

I would choose something with the same sort of 'tweeter', so it matches your other beolabs sound wise and voices are crisp and clear.

thank tuttivini for your reply.

I would like to know what Millemissen thinks of this option and where I could buy the 7.2 belolabs.

I bought a complete Beovision 7-32 with beolab 7.1 and motorized stand secondhand for 200 euro.

Used the 7.1 under my LG C9 oled and sold the beovision 7-32 with motorstand for 120 euro. So beolab 7.1 costed only 80 euros.

Compared the 7.1 with the 7.2 (my dad has the 7.2 which I borrowed), sound was the same and 7.1 was a better size under my 55 inch TV.

7.2 is a better match under a 65 inch TV.

Picture of my 7.1 (used speaker cloth to match my 8000's) :

Excellent result.

So you control everything with the Almando receiver?
