Hi Steve...

Can you give us more info? So you're making specials cables to connect the wireless speakers to the 4000c? That's soooo B&O marketing speak :-)

Anyway.. more info is more then welcome!

Karel.

Hi Karel,

Yes, the Beogram 4000c includes 3.5mm and twin RCA cables, so you can plug the turntable directly into Beolab 50, Beolab 90, Core, or any B&O wireless Multiroom speaker with a 3.5mm input (eg. M5, Beosound 2, A9, Balance, etc), as well as into any non-B&O audio system.  Linking into a Core or B&O Multiroom speaker makes the turntable audioble on any other Multiroom speaker around your home.

Kind regards, Steve.

I understand completely that you can connect the set to a Core/Balance/... but how are you controlling the volume when directly connecting the set to (BeoLab) speakers?

Karel.

As Steve wrote, with the 50/90 you can.

With any other Beolab you need a B&O preamp (Beomaster/-center/-sound) or a volume-regulated third party preamp of some kind in the mix.

.....you could also use a Playmaker as the preamp.

Dillen:

Could we take a guess at which one of their back catalogue units they will be "recreating" one hundred of in five years?
Perhaps Beomaster 4400 (and call it Beomaster 3000c and give it a rose-pink tint)?

I vote for Hyperbo 5rg -> would be hyperbo 5rgC Smile

I hope B&O don’t go down the path of audiophile cables nor for that matter audiophile anything. People go to B&O to get away from the crazy audiophiles and their obsessive audiophoolery.

Whilst I am a crazy, obsessive B&O nut, I am also a crazy, obsessive audiophile and I find your comments very hurtful.

My local HiFi store sells rats that are made of vinyl and filled with heavy something to eliminate vibrations. I wonder what Geoff would say if I put those rats on my beolab 50 :)

Quote from the linked review:

The result, also, was that a little more macro-detail did show through in the recordings; nuances one may have casually passed over sans these things, now surfaced with more clarity.’

Could somebody please translate that into a common language?

Especially what the term ‘macro-detail’ might mean would be interesting to know

Price 240 $ - but they look neat.

P.S. I know it is a bit off-topic, but I could not resist ;-)))

I can't resist either: Just imagine if Aurelio Zanotta had manufactured this as a children's version of the "Sacco" chair in 1968... too cute!
