Hi,

I'm currently using my Beoplay H9 3rd gen on my computer (Windows 10). I'd like to use it as a headset for playing video games with friends, however whenever I use the microphone the sound switches to much lower quality speakers, identified as a "Beoplay H9 Hands-free" device in my sound manager, as opposed to the regular "Beoplay H9 Stereo" which plays everything fine. The issue is fairly simple to reproduce : try listening to some music and calling someone on Skype at the same time, the music will stop and you won't be able to play it until the call is finished.

It seems odd that one wouldn't be able to use the microphone and the HQ headphone functions at the same time especially for such a high end product so I'm wondering, am I doing something wrong ? For the moment the only solution I have is to disable the "Beoplay H9 Hands-free" and use a separate microphone.

Thanks

Maybe something to do with how the PC pairs its BT.

Pairing my H8 to my phone no problem, I can receive a call, answer it, and have two way voice. Once done, it goes right back to music. Never tried pairing it to a computer.

Thank you for your reply. It does work both ways, but what I mean is it sounds like it physically switches to a lower quality speaker when using the microphone, and it won't switch back to decent sound quality again as long as the microphone is active. I've attached a screenshot of my sound manager.
