So, I now have my Beolab 7.2 working with the HDMI ARC on my LG OLED.

Volume is controlled natively with the remote control from tv.

No static from speaker at all Big Smile

The extractor needs to be powered all at all times. When I come extend it to the tv usb power, it turns of with the. Tv, causing it to start at full volume when tv is turned on. Also making a pop noise in the speaker when being turned off.

So power at all times solves the problem.

Beolab is connected to TVs usb. Turning on and of with tv.

All hum from speaker is eliminated. When I had it connected to Essence/S8 hub it had a hum.

OldJack, I am not to keen on the lintronic box, as it needs to be placed somewhere in the room. But it would of course be nice. But I would go with BeoRemote One maybe Stick out tongue

Hey. First, a drawing. That's what I can deliver. So a link to an alternative solution.

Could you explain how the volume control is handled?

Peter needs this input before he can create his signature "PANart ™"  Big Smile

Volume control is handled with the TVs remote control. Hdmi cable goes from Hdmi arc into the extractor.

I don’t know if saying that the box makes the hdmi into an volume regulated aux cable would be correct, but it is basically what it does.

Here are pictures for you Peter. I use the cable in your link, so it is the headphone output that is the active output in my case.

Would it be correct to assume then, the ARC return signal from the TV is volume regulated?

- and can you set up  that functionality in the Sound Setting on the TV?

One more question?

Are the two line outputs volume regulated as well ?

And you knew it would be asked eventuality Smile : Can we have a picture of the INSIDE of the box, i.e. the board ?

I think the volume is regulated inside the box. But it is done via signal from the tv through the cable. No need for setup other than choosing arc output and activating hdmi-cec.

I haven’t tested the other rca outputs, but I believe they are. I will see if I have a cable somewhere so I can test it.

Considering that I have to see if there is anyway to build the hdmi connection into the back of the Beolab 7, it will be dismantled.
