Aussie Michael:

I start the BV14 and then get a glass of water and come back and it's just starting

Start my BV14 in the morning, make some coffee, do the laundry & ironing, mow the garden in the afternoon, take a shower and in the evening just in time to see the electronic curtain opening Surprise

On topic again: very curious to see the specs/numbers on the BeoVision HaveMoney Harmony..

Karel.

Hi everyone,

I thought this may give a new angle on the discussion - Llewelyn from the Ultimate B&O Facebook group joined me today for a video review of the history of B&O's moving TVs that led to the Harmony:

https://youtu.be/Y9Z9bHgFhmU

We also discuss the use of LG screens and software in B&O TVs, with comparisons to parts sharing in the motor industry......

Kind regards, Steve.

Thanks for sharing, Steve. Lovely to see some references of earlier B&O televisions in the video Smile

We're established that already (and doesn't appear to bother people....). What I find funny in that video is they just take an off-the-shelf LG out of a box and plonk it on top of the frame. A very expensive frame/sound system.

You can see the alternative speaker covers in the last few seconds of the video - wow, truly looks awful. Reminds me very much of the 80s. If that's your thing, great, but not for me:

Hmm

I am not saying it is not expensive, though those numbers I think need a bit adjustment.

But it is the same price as the Loewe Bild 7.77 and that have a what, 3-4 year old screen, and not as good sound processor or speakers.

Just seen the video,

Not the way I had hoped for,

It is ugly AF from behind, not very B&O,

But I guess it pleases many of the voices in here, soundbar plugged to a LG tv.

Not at all as the Eclipse,

Good and bad things to say, but not what I had wished for.

It almost make the eclipse good value for money and the BO standalone sound bar cannot come soon enough

Well. Maybe we will see variations of different stands and sound bars that connects simply to a standard LG. = possible to upgrade the panels, something many of us have asked for.

Image the Eclipse speaker, either as standalone or connected to a stand (moving or fixed). I think this approach could give B&O some momentum.

Question is the how much we are willing to pay for the stand and the speaker.

I think that my 7-55 had the following approx prices in 2009:

Speaker: EUR 3.000

Stand,low: EUR 1.500

It easier to accept these prices if the panel is replaceable.

Time will tell.

Hmm

The price is 7500£ for the tv,

And the Harmony stand/soundbar/remote/Surround processor is 8500£

So 16000£ complete,

So a bit more than double,

Just in the beginning you can see what I think are two downfiring speakers under the stand.

Meh. Anyone can do Dolby ATMOS and point the speakers up, we at B&O point them down! Plus, no royalty payments to Dolby!

Jeff

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad
