hi knowledgable people.

 

Purchased a Beosound 1 ex display earlier today from my local B&O store. But its been a nightmare. Software version is:

Version 1.17.22535.7625124
And it won’t update to latest. Beotool says Beoportal unreachable. Won’t connect, Deezer not working, chrome cast wont work etc etc etc
How do I manually update? 
Some one please help, I am at my wits end

Yes, the beotool app shows red dots on beoprtal cant be reached and software not been looked for.

 

And again doesn't show the serial number or item number?

Yes, accessed that screen from my macbook, no different. Still won't update or even show new software

Or maybe is it still in storemode? I tried accessing this mode to investigate but need a account and password, don’t have that so cannot look further. Maybe someone else can guide you on this possibility. Seems to me your BS1 is limited for some strange reason.

Maybe, would make sense. But surely a reset would clear that?

A couple of weeks ago my app showed no connection to BeoPortal on multiple devices. I was also trying to an install an update that was being pushed to me by B and O and it did not show up. I uninstalled all products from the app, and then reinstalled them in the app and the connection was restored, the update appeared, and was installed.

Update

 

Beosound returned to store earlier and full refund given.

 

Sad and frustrating experience all round.

A strange one - my BS2 has been pretty flawless since I got it 15 months ago.
