Hello,

some people claim both speakers are pretty similar, but that's not the way it is!

The redline 140 features a passiv radiator and a high quality Seas tweeter.

The rl 7000 has a port and a cheap phillips tweeter and a different crossover.

The woofers of the redline 140 use rubber, the rl 7000 use foam.

Has anyone ever compared the speakers soundwise?

How big is the difference? I think the rl 140 has the better bass.

Any Ideas?

Thank you very much.

Regards Chris

I don't recall any facts about the tweeters but I have seen numerous examples of RL140 with foam rot in the woofers, or was it rubber rot!!

My RL140s have foam surrounds and are ported. I can dig through my photos to see which tweeter is there, I don’t remember confidently but I think they were Seas. Maybe you have a super special pair of RL140s.

My RL-140 had two foam surround woofers and no passive radiator. The tweeter looks similar to the one in the Beolab Pentas. A SEAS unit, I believe.

So did both pairs of my RL-140 speakers
