I heard that there will be a replacement to Horizon once the current stock are sold out. No OLED since the sizes will be 40” and upwards.

Emil Jensen:
I wanted the H9i this December, as a very nice colour was available, sadly it was sold out and I did not buy them. All dealers had sold out of this colour, so it must have had some influence.

Absolutely do not understand wanting/needing headphones but not buying them because they aren't Dusty Pink (insert own colour here)!

That is okay Puncher, I am just telling you that it can be the case for a lot of people.

I actually apply this for a lot of things.

I mostly look at Cars and Houses for the design(Colour is a important part of design)

Clothes seems to obvious to say.

To be clear, B&O have always done colours and I had no real objection to that. My concern here is that they have apparently significantly upped their expenditure in the selection process of colours, most of which will be fleeting and will likely have little additional impact over an almost a random selection from this seasons "in" colours - i.e. "new/different"  is probably more important than the actual shade, especially given that most will have a lifetime of mere months.

I would rather this money was spent on Engineering, Acoustics, actual design and especially software.

Clearly the seasonal colours aren’t for you Puncher, but I do believe they can have a significant impact on sales by fostering additional interest every six months. Presumably B&O see sales spike when they release new colours otherwise they would stop doing it.

I don’t think it should be a case of spending the money on other things. Surely money should be spent on all the areas you mention at an appropriate level in addition to the colour team, not instead of.

If the cost of the colour team creates more than that level of margin on additional sales (as I suspect it will) I’d say leave it alone.

I'm not sure if you're not listening on purpose - by all means have seasonal colours, I just don't believe it requires significant additional resources in order to do so!

I’m probably just a slave to capitalism or whatever but I’m guilty of that. I snapped up a pair of terracotta H9i when they released the AW18 season and sold the natural ones I had EmbarrassedWhistle😳

Well it seems the Terracotta H9i's were very popular - I hope Jon enjoys his and I'm sorry Emil missed out - all done without a specialist colour department or any trips to Havana …. QED!

AW18's colors were inspired by a trip to Marrakesh: "The AW18 Collection pays tribute to the rich colours found in the ancient natural world, taking its inspiration from the old city of Marrakesh, with its timeless colours, textures, and hues – rich, warm, and harmonious"

... but could equally have been inspired by a cost to my greenhouse with much less expense!

Honestly I bet they just went to the Danish equivalent of B&Q and thought “oh that looks nice” 😂

They’re probably the only popular seasonal colour, everything else seems to stick around longer and then ends up heavily discounted on eBay.

But does your greenhouse look as inspirational as a shoot in Marrakesh?

So, B&O had to travel all the way to Marrakesh to discover beige? Stick out tongue
