I have bought a 10 year old Beo5 that i have been told haven’t been used yet.

By the looks of it, it might be true. Smile

The thing is that it is completely dead, even when plugged in the charger.

I think the next step is to buy a new battery, and change it first.

But first i have to know, if the diagnose might be something else, than the battery.

To me it is quite weird, that i can’t bring it to life, even when plugged in to the charger. Huh?

Thanks Lee Lets have a Party !!!

Then my next step will be to buy a new battery, either original from my dealer, or to find a cheaper solution.

After that it seems like i have to find a 32 bit Windows machine, to get the Config Tool runningHuh?.

Hopefully it will all be worth the effort in the end Whistle.

Update.

After a visit to my preferred local dealer, I left without a spare battery. They simply wouldn’t sell the battery as a spare, only if they could do the repair.

Fair enough, the battery would most likely be too expensive, but it was worth the visit.

I then contacted Jacob Rungwald, who forwarded me to a German webshop selling the battery-cells. So now I have placed an order, and I will just have to wait and see if my soldering skills can keep up with the job.

Afterwards the next step will be to find a laptop running a 32-bit version of windows, and get the config tool running.

BTW here is a picture of the remote
