I need to replace or repair the balance control slider on my Beomaster 1900 (which I have had since new in 1976).  Can anyone advise on -

- where I might buy one

- the challenge of repairing the worn surface (the slider is not in contact with the surface unless some downward pressure is applied at which point the balance control kicks in)

- the feasibility of buying and converting a tone control slider to a do balance control

many thanks

Neil

Hi, in my opinion it seem be more mechanical issue and may need attention referring to service manual (they're available for silver and gold members on site)

tone control slider is single potentiometer while balance is T or Y double potentiometer with one slider, hence could not be adapted

once you get reference number of the part (i believe won't need replacing) - you can start searching for right one Wink

all the best

The metal bronze slider contacts has broken off the black plastic bridge. That's very common.
Glue it back on and watch out for the tiny coal tips on the bronze contacts.

Check here, its doable and my BM 2400 has been playing OK since one year, I move the repaired slider once in while to check it

Here one more but they are different

Hi everyone,

I have the same probleme on my 1900.
But the trebble slider cannot be fixed with glue. All the little plastic parts are gone.
In your opinion, can I glue the contact? Or where can I buy spare parts?
