The only thing holding me back from investing in some of the smaller Beoplay speakers (ie - the Beolit 15) is the lack of Google Cast implementation.
Can anyone tell me if there is a technical reason why the larger, all-in-one speakers got it, and the smaller ones did not? I realize I can add a Google Cast Audio dongle, but I use the 3.5mm aux input for my computer.
Qualification - I don't mind using bluetooth, but I feel like wi-fi streaming is better (gets source directly from internet, no phone battery drain, less compression, etc. etc.)
The easy answer is they are Bluetooth only. All WiFi enabled BeoPlay products received the update for Chromecast.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
Pardon my ignorance, what is CA?
CA = Chromecast Audio

There is a tv - and there is a BV.
Gotcha, I thought they changed the name to Google Cast.

So, if I understand you correctly, you can use Google cast with the Beolit 15? You just need to buy the Google chrome cast audio dongle and plug it in to the 3.5 mm Jack? Is that how it works? How good is the sound quality? Since it is going through a 3.5 mm Jack, is it reduced?
You'll be fine using a decent cable.
Never heard any complaint there.
