Finally the new Deezer app for the V1 / BV 11 has arrived and it seems to work flawless. Now hopefully B&O takes it up at their side to update the software so that the Deezer app can also be selected through the source button ( i.e. A-Mem button on beo4). For now this way the old buggy Deezer app is stil activated.

Does anyone on the forum knows if  B&O will keep updating the 1gen smart tv software? The BV11 is still on sale.

That must have been a ‘silent update’ - I did not notice any.

Since when is it so?

I’ll have a look once I am at home.

Not sure you get Deezer Hifi over that app though....

Please do help me!

Just tested on my BV Avant.

I do see NO changes there from how it was before - it is just as buggy as ever....totally unusably.

What are you doing, that I am not?

Note: I have no Deezer account...if that should make any difference.

(Assigning a button is not a problem....never was.)

Opened the app on my BV12 and Avant Mk 1 - both seem to be the new (er) updated app

And lo and behold, it looks like a modern app!

At least at very passable alternative to using a smartphone,  that much I'll say.

A touch slow in loading pages, but certainly well laid out and a good choice of options.

A pleasant surprise, though I haven't tried the native app for years - my recollection was that it was god awful.

Deezer redesigned the desktop app (at least for Mac OSX) very recently.

The new smart TV app has a very similar look and feel now.

Maybe it was all part of the same process / rollout.

Still a bit puzzled by this.

The app on my Avant looks like in the picture from Hiort, but it reacts terribly slow.....no fun, at all.

I’ll have to try on my V1 later today, to see if it is different there.

APP looks the same to me too.

Far too slow and clunky.

Use with the Core and it’s fine.

I went to the Webmedia on my Avant Mk1 and saw that an app is in the App Gallery - i think there are only 6 anyway

I had already used Deezer in the past on the Avant but stopped because it's so painfully slow.

On the BV14 what i had to do was uninstall the Deezer app that was pre installed as that didn't work, and then install the one in the Google Play store which works fine. Its not as slow as the Avant though.

Both TVs are direct lan cable

I never really use Deezer on either of these, and i mainly listen to deezer (music) on my A9 and BS1.  I have integrated an essence Mk2 with the BV14 on the chance i want to use the BV14 as an NL speaker with multiroom.

Yes, similar, core integrated to BV11 and just play straight from Deezer APP via AirPlay

I had forgotten about the deezer app on the V1, tried it on one of my V1s and it responded quickly to search and played music quickly. I have this hardware by cat7 cable to the router, so don't know if that made any difference.

I have a BS moment so always use that in the room

I have the same set up but Deezer on the V1 is sloooooooooow........

Maybe library size on Deezer ("My Music") is a factor? I have appts 1500 albums in there.
