Hi,

Maybe someone of you will help me to solve some mystery happenings. I’m new owner of Beocenter 9500 and have brought that beautiful piece of technology into usable state. All works perfectly but something is strange and wired. The equipment starts in the middle of night and plays radio. I read the manual and found that it’s possible to program what and when play but I cancelled all actions and now panels displays "?". But maybe it’s stored somewhere else? Maybe some general reset is needed but I've got no idea how to do this?

I would appreciate any help as I need to keep the Beocenter unplugged in order to have good sleep.

Max

To Max, there are plenty of Beolink 5000's on eBay.de usually.  One was only 50 EUR last week.

But be careful - many of the ones being sold do not have a working screen, which makes their use very difficult!

Absolutely but most sellers are quite clear on functionality and the better sellers actually show the screen through different modes so you can see it works.  There are also plenty of repair kits (B&O official spare parts) for the Beolink 5000 still available, including keypad, screen internals.

Dave.

Guy -

Thanks. Sorry if I led folks astray. Now I will have to get out my BL 5000 and BL 7000 and check it out.

Dave -

Where do you get parts for the BL5000? A US dealer told me no more parts available for it from B&O.

No problem - we never stop learning with B&O! Smile

Beolink 5000 parts are always appearing on eBay.de.  B&O will not stock them anymore but some appear from store clearouts.

Success! Ghosts run away! It was necessary to reset RAM in TEST MODE. That wasn't that easy as after i put BC 9500 in TM all controls lit up but after pressing key 7 all of them just blinked and no 1 on display appeared. I tried several times and no effect. So I tried to execute 7 by remote controller - no effect but strangely something was switched (volume controls lit up) and than I pressed longer key 7 and than finally 1 appeared on the display. The BC was reset and so far no self switches on.

Thank you all very much for help and support!!!

Max

PS I will try to get BL 5000 but offer is poor even on ebay.de.

Super! What you want is a Beolink 7000. There are some on ebay.de. It is less finicky than the 5000 and much cooler.

Great - I am glad it works!

And the site has sparked a renewed interest in B&O, hence I am expecting a BC2300 (two-way) in the post today - a repair project as the doors apparently don't open/close properly.  I have already ordered a new drive belt in anticipation!

Hi Max - congrats!

For hand-held use the Beolink 5000 is the 2-way choice.

But Gregg is right: the BL7000 is the ne plus ultra! You just need to use it on a suitably-placed table stand (the charger that came with it) or the rarer-than-hens'-teeth floor stand. When the BL7000 sits alone on a table I find that the height has to be just right for me to read the screen: it's very angle-dependent. But the experience in use is unforgettable.

Whichever one you go for - or both - enjoy!

I think that Ghost now traveled from your Beocenter 9500 to my Beosound 3000 to chill out there Big Smile

Since I've attached a Beolink Converter 1611 to the ML-Bus my Beosound 3000 switches on randomly AND in random modes (CD, N.Music...) without anyone using a remote, an app or s.th. else. No timer programmed and the times are randomly.

Could it be that the Beolink Converter is defective? How do I tell him that he's VIDEOmaster? I powered off everything before connecting it to ML and powered the Beosound 3000 before the Beolink converter.

At this moment there are only Beolink Converter 1611, Beosound 3000 and Beolab 3500 left on the ML and I still have this behaviour...

Any suggestions? Come on you helpful Ghost Busters! Wink

Hi you cant' tell hm that he's a video master it decides itself depnding on the connected devices.

First it start as a kind of videomaster when connected to the mains after the Bosond 3000 but then you connect the BC9500 to the mains and then there are to audio systems connected to it and it doesn't know how to react. There's just one oppotunity left: The BS 3000 is in Link Mode (option 6)  and the BC9500 is the Masterlink Audio Master with a Link Audio system and your Link Speaker.

If the Beolink Converter is connetced to the BS 3000 the BS300 has to be set to option 2 so that it reacts on video command too and gets them from the Masterlink connection. This is the way to get audio signals from the BeoLink Converter from the A.AUX connector to the BS3000. This additional source can only be opened by TV, SAT, VTPAE....
