I'm undecided on which one of these to get to enable me to sit in the sun listening to the Ashes this summer. The problem as I see it is that the Beolit is a better bit of kit but the colours really put me off. I much prefer the colours the A2 comes in, especially the black and copper version. Any one know if there are any plans to introduce new colours for the Beolit, I'd delay my purchase if there are new colours coming.

Both are mobile and yes the Beolit 15 is a better sound, but the A2 is far easier to chuck in a bag. If it's just the radio and at modest volumes the A2 is perfectly adequate in my opinion.

The only problem is that now the Beolit 15 has had a price drop, it is now relatively not far off the A2's price! Would you regret this in the futureHuh?

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

Id go the A2 if i were you, you can chuck it around and if you're on the grass it can lay on its side etc and is easier to place wherever.

Go take a listen and see which one you prefer.

The BL15 works better if its placed down low and against a wall in a room if listening inside.

Not agree Michael. Stick out tongue

The Beolit 15 have the 360 sound space technology.

It sounds better in the middle of a room.

Against a wall the bass is too loud.

You description concern the Beolit 12. Big Smile

I went for A2, and happy with that. The sound is amazing and a good bass concidering the thin layout. Sometimes I feel a Beolit 15 would have been great to have, but the A2 is more versatile and handy to bring along.

Well, the decision has been made. A trip to my local dealership and working out what I'd use it for I ended up getting this. Black and copper A2

I faced the same dilemma, same issues. Liked the colors and portability/weight of the A2, and it did sound great. But (there's always a but right?), one place I wanted to use it was out by the hot tub, and with the pump and jets and being outside the ability to play louder and deeper was important, more so than throw it in a beach bag portability so it was the Beolit 15 that won out.

Really enjoy it though, but I don't think one could go wrong with either.

A bit late on this one.

I thought the A2 had too much distorsion at high volume (not enough bass) so waited for Beolit 15.

I immediatly thought Beolit 15 had too much bass and lowered the bass setup on Spotify.

Still think it as too much bass and if I had to do it again I would go for a A2 today (black /copper).

Good choice you made !

My wife takes her A2 black and copper everywhere. She really really enjoys it, and it continues to surprise me with how much punch it has.

A 2nd generation (with bluetooth) Beolit 12 would have been enough for me. I need bluetooth (integrated).

I have to agree with BeoBoy on that one. Beolit 15 best in the middle of a room faaaaaaaaar away from a wall.

Low close to a wall I can't listen to it, it's only boom boom boom boom and boom.

Of course it's only my very sensitive ears....

The Beolit 12 can be use as Bluetooth speaker.

You can transform the BeoLit 12 with a mini USB Bluetooth dongle.

With respect to the Beolit 15s bass, I've also found that if put too near a boundary like a wall it can get bass heavy, but with more free space it sounds a lot better. Also sounds better the louder you play it it seems. Still just an amazing little box, as is the A2. I loved the size and colors of the A2 but for my needs the 15 was better suited.

Michael. I think the rose gold BL18 with black frets would be very close to black and copper.

I will only be using for local radio and the odd song from my iPhone when on holiday.

But he can stream Internet radio from his iPhone - which is what I expect he means. I think for the limited use he wants, the A2 would be fine. I disagree about lack of bass as mine has plenty depending on the quality of the source.

I've just got back from a weeks holiday where my A2 provided background music every morning and evening. Probably 2 hours a day. Didn't have to recharge it.

Bass is absolutely fine (and I do like my bass) for such a compact device.

Two members of my family are buying one having heard mine!

No issues with mine either

Are you streaming to it or do you have it plugged in via usb? As that would make the battery go down
