Is there a way of making a Beo4 volume control independant of the 'link' command as with the Beolink 1000? A room containing an MCL2A and an MX4000 results in the need to change back to 'TV' each time to adjust volume after controlling main room sources.

This is very good to know! Nothing about this in the guides that I have seen. I have two Beo4's with software 5.0 so I will change the lists to make them more user friendly in the link rooms. Of course with the MCL2AV this would not be necessary but I have two link rooms with the MCL2A. Many thanks for sharing this.

I will read with interest. I've tried out link mode but it doesn't really work for me because I have local sources attached to the scarts of the LX's in both link rooms - but it certainly makes things much better with a standalone link TV.

I think that when the Beo4 is in permanent LINK mode, you can then use the LINK command to temporarily take it out of LINK mode, if you see what I mean! Could be useful.

Certainly would be useful, but tried it and it stays on the link frequency rather than switches to the local source.
