Beolab 5 wanted: What should you look out for when buying?

Hi B&O lovers, what should you look out for when buying a pair of Beolab 5's?

I know from a reliable dealer that due to the speakers age there's a very high chance to have an overhaul or repair required.

Decided to get a pair and my minimum requirements:

- non smoking household

- classic natural aluminium, neither black or glossy

- flawless condition of the aluminium parts

- MK2 software?

- no rattling sounds from the bass chassis

- no digital strange noises

What else do you recommend to inspect before buying?

I wouldn’t buy a pair that hasn’t had the chassis refurbished. where are you located? I am considering selling my pair.

Seems only a matter of time until the units will need some B&O refurbishment service.

Sure, and it can sometimes be long, depending on the chassis availability at B&O.
