Hello everyone! - The future of Beoworld.

I'm very happy to see some of the early posts show up in the searches!

Using Firefox - when browsing a multi-page thread, selecting the "next" page at the bottom of the page fetches the next page, but does not bring page focus back to the top of the next page, so you have to manually scroll to the top. Not a deal breaker, but IMHO not really the expected behavior.

The archived posts occasionally have links which refer to other archived posts - those links are of course now broken. With the understanding that the archived threads were possibly imported in a manner which will not make re-indexing these dead links possible, it would be a nice fix if you could somehow recreate the correct thread reference, or a way to look them up.

Pictures included with some of the old threads are sometimes still archived on Google Images. If you no longer have them in storage, I wonder if there would be a way to insert a google search window to cause it to be located, based on how it was referenced when Google first crawled it.

Keep up the excellent work!

Couple of observations:

  • I used to have bookmark to https://forum.beoworld.org/latest-topics/ which I would scroll down, and open interesting threads in new tabs. Now going to the forum root, I need to first scroll down past the sponsors etc, a full-screen height before the forum contents starts
  • At least in Safari I cannot open links in new tabs (they don't appear as links so not even alt-clicking/context menu have the option)
  • When using the log-in from a thread, it goes to the user profile page and not back to the thread where it was called upon.
  • Opening a thread from the listing causes a fast scrolling up the page up and then the thread content loads, this looks a bit restless.

Thanks for allowing 3D models as attachments :)

Hopefully this is resolved now.

This might be a bit more tricky, the images saved in the forum archived forums servers have been imported, images that were saved using a 3rd parts such as PhotoBox or similar will be available as long as they are kept on the hosting server - if there are any examples of issues then please let me know, I will look into it as much as possible.

I'm currently working on this, proving to be a little troublesome.
