  • Masterlink cable

I understand that the Beosystem AV9000 powers the AV9000 Audio Kit via the MasterLink cable, and that it is the only B&O product to do this (the other BeoLink boxes having built-in power supplies). However, the BeoTech minisite just shows a single MasterLink pinout. Would I be correct in thinking that the AV9000 uses pins 11 and 12 to power ...

  • Harmony? ;-) Can I make these link components work together? BS3, BM7000, BeoPort and BL Active?!

Great fun reading the forums! Started buying B&O stuff back in the 80ies and by now my house is "well equipped" (my wife would use more profane words)....  But, I have really never been able to crack the Link Option logic, given that there is one ;-)  Anyway, in this case I have - a BeoSystem3 [v.opt 2] in the main ...

  • Beolink PC2 IR eye

Hi everybody, I bought IR eye for my Beolink PC2 recently. It comes as a silver disk with 5 buttons and a 3-core cable with 3.5 jack (and a wiring diagram of cause). The matter is: IR signals come through to Beoplayer OK, but no one IR eye button affects Peoplayer regardless of any Beolink option (0,2,4,6). Does anyone know ...

  • Installing an eye

I've recently purchased a number of secondhand items, including a BeoPort Active, and matching Eye. In the manual, mounting the eye involves fitting a bracket to the wall, hanging the eye on the bracket, and fitting a small screw to hold it in place. However, the eye which I received came with a back panel and a top-hat - no separate ...

  • ok get your teeth into this one...

ok here goes  a 'friend' of mine has strayed down the path of wiring several rooms of his house with the intention of putting BOSE in. Having seen what B&O stuff can do he wants B&O in the several rooms he has expensively wired already. Each room has at least a pair of passive speaker cables going back to one point in the ...

  • Beolink PC2 crashes & B+O offer me no help at all!!

I am new here and not particularly technically up to speed, so please forgive me. I have a beolink PC2 which was installed on my lap top. The lap top got a virus and I lost everything; the B+O shop re-installed the software on my desk top. I found that whilst the software worked, it scanned my hard disk every time and I lost all the playlists I ...

  • Re: HEX codes for Beolink 1000

I have a similar problem, but I'm missing the V. Tape function on my universal remote, so I can't view anything that's plugged into the SCART plug. Do you know the HEX code for that button?

  • PC connection on BeoLink Active

Following discussions in other threads it occurs to me that there may be an opportunity to be exploited if we can utilize the now redundant PC connection on the thousands of BeoLink Actives that we already own.  In my own installation I have 7 "B&O enabled" rooms.  I can only use 3 of those rooms to introduce new sources to ...
