  • BeoCom 6000 ?base reset? Only 1 handset and is not registered. UNKNOWN PIN!

What can I do about this?  I noticed that behind the sticker on the bottom there is a small oval hole with two solder points.  Test posts?  Manual reset?  I noticed something similar on the handset once the battery cover is removed.  To the right there are two small holes with what looks like a place to insert probes to ...

  • Problems with connecting Beocom 6000 handset to base

Hi, I have problems connecting two used Beocom 6000 handsets to the Beocom 6000 base. I have followed the instructions from the manual, and I can also get a third handset connected. Batteries are OK, and there are space enough on the Beocom 6000 base for additional handsets (only 1 phone is connected at the moment). Any ideas what is wrong? I ...

Hi there, I'm new around here and I'm hoping someone can help with a problem I'm having with my BeoCom 6000 system. I know there are some similar posts on here already, but I thought I'd give all the info about my specific situation. I have had a system with two handsets working fine for five or six years with a connection to a ...

  • Re: beocom 1 versus beocom 6000

Hello Keith   Follow up question on difference in chargers and related voltages. So MKI charger/base station ( Beocom 6000) uses a 7.5V adapter and will only fit a MKI Beocom 6000 handset A MKII charger ( Beocom 1 in US, Beocom 6000 MK II in Europe) uses a 5.6V adapter. It will fit both a MKI and MKII handset.   Now the ...

  • Start of a compatibility matrix for beocom handsets versus base stations

Hello, Puzzled  by the various rules and restrictions on what can pair/connect with what I started a what I call compatibility matrix. The FAQ on this topic is a very good start but still leaves a few holes. I have not taken into account the compatibility between the different country versions, that might well be the next step. I would ...

  • beocom 1 versus beocom 6000

Hello,  I'm not sure when but I noticed the change in name 6000 to 1. Is this just a name change or did the features and functions change too. More important the pstn base that comes with the current beocom 2, can (US) beocom 6000 handsets of about 5 years old connect to them?  Regards Peter

  • Re: BeoCom 6000 - Virgin - Any Advice

What cables are you using to connect the pstn unit to the telephone connection. BT in its wisdom have chosen  their own standard on socket wiring, which is very different from the rest of the world! Bless BT The rj11 connector used by BT have the 2 phone wires connected to outside pins, pin 1 and 4 and the earth and bell signal to the two ...

  • Re: beocom 60000 firmware question

Hello Keith,   Thanks very much for the quick and extensive reply. The Caller ID function seems to work fine, for both the 1200 answer machine and the phones. (Both US versions). By "updated Mark I', do you means a fw updated or does it also need an update of hardware components? If so what are the costs for that? How can I see ...
