  • Linn sneaky music ds

Just took a look at this product and was very impressed - though the name could be better !  It allows streaming of music to other rooms from a networked computer/ harddisk but with audiophile quality. The unit can then be directly connected to speakers or pass the signal to say a power amp. Price approx £1,000 I had been ...

  • BV 7/32 High Definition Audio

Quick question on HD Audio.  One of the perceived benefits of Blu-ray discs is the availability of HD audio formats. The method by which these are available can vary. In some cases decoding is performed at player level. In other cases at receiver/ processor level.  At present neither BS3 nor the surround sound processor in my own BV ...

  • Setting up for HDR1 to BV7?

Hi, I have problem to setting up my television BV7 (MKI) together with a HDR1, for working full integrated. For watching television (terrestial) I use a STB (Sagem 64) connected to AV2 (DTV) which works very well. The HDR1 is connected to AV1 (VMEM) and also to a seperate STB (Thomson DTI353). The IR transmitter ...

  • photo's viewing on BeoVision 7-40MKIII

I noticed that photo's (JPEG) played from the internal DVD player are much better on the BeoVision MKIII then on the MKII. However pictures played from a computer via the VGA connection are indeed much and much better still. Why is this?   regards

  • Re: Stereo sound input on BV 7

Thanks for the clarification - I think I start to get the overview. I'm a little puzzled about the optical connections, though. Airport Express outputs TOSLINK. (At least that's what I believe. As my world is still mosty analog I currently use its built-in DAC and get a line output.) The specs for BV 7 state about Digital Audio Inputs: ...

  • BV7 Upgrade History?

Hi, Could anyone tell me what the upgrades have been on the BV7 through it's years? I'm thinking of buying one and with the new version not with us yet I'm thinking that a pre owned version might be a better buy. Would an older version which has the HD software fitted be as good as a 2007 model?
