  • Beo5 and Sky TV

After a power cut during the night my Beo5 (and for that matter my Beo4) will not control my Sky TV box (connected to a BeoVision 4) as it did previously. I powered everything down for 30 minutes and then booted up again but still no joy. Any suggestions?

  • Beosound 9000 & Beo4 Problem - Help Please

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and in fact a fairly new owner of a second hand Beosound 9000. (Which I love by the way.) It came without a remote control and has been working just fine. So I bought a  Beo4 but have not been able to get it to work with it. The beosound 9000 simply will not respond to anything I do with the remote. I tried ...

  • Re: Harmony? ;-) Can I make these link components work together? BS3, BM7000, BeoPort and BL Active?!

If anyone's interested on to know how this ended - at least for now, here's the story: 1. BeoPort: I didn't junk it since I want to continue using the BeoPort application on the PC, i.e. including N.RADIO. N.RADIO doesn't work without the BeoPort hardware. But, I took it off the Master Link and set the link option to 0 to avoid ...

  • Beovision MX7000 with Beo4 and SKY+

Hi all, I've just taken ownership of a Beovision MX7000 (Type: 8702) which I'm really enjoying watching.  With the TV came a Beo4 remote, the new one I think with DTV, V.Mem etc.  Also as part of my set up I am receiving SKY via a SKY+ Amstrad box model DRX280.  My question(s) is regarding use of the remote control. I ...

  • Can you use the RECORD button to record on sky+?

I have and Avant DVD with a set-top box controller. It doesn't have a video recorder, HDR or a DVD2 connected, so the RECORD button isn't used for anything. Can you customise a Beo4 so I don't have to press MENU-8 to control recording on Sky?

  • Now when the war is over ...

... and Blue Ray is the winner I'd like to add a Blue Ray player to my setup (BV7 Mark III). Of course I want to control it with my Beo4. This is Prio One!! Which player should I buy? For a while I was thinking of the Playstation III but I'm not into videogaming (at least not yet ;-) so maybe this is just an extra lot of money. ...

  • Re: SHIFT on BEO4 and other remotes

Shift on B&O remotes is a lot like Shift on the PC keyboard - it opens up a lot of secondary features. On the Beolink 1000, for example, I found out by chance that Shift+A.Tape will turn on the second Tape input on my Beocentre 8500, and it's very similar on the Beo4 - uncommon controls are accessed by Shift instead of being given their ...
