• Re: BeoPlay M5 ?
Personally I would not want Alexa (or any of the others) in my home - must it be?
Agreed. I am not really that interested in these Alexa type products. It's like Siri on the iPhone and MacBook Air, I never use it. I suppose it might become mainstream at some later point in time but developments at this stage are more of a gimmick offering a bit of fun for a few minutes but no real practical use - for me anyway. Simon.

  • Re: BeoVision 9 Camera

Interesting scenario! I have the Mark 1 BV9 so no camera but I wonder if powering everything off for half an hour or so (assuming you have all your codes) then powering back up might fix the problem? Can't think what else you could try for the moment. Any option to turn the camera off in the Advanced Setup Menu perhaps? Good luck. Simon.

  • Re: Serene Mobile calendar has run out!

I liked the Serene and had one, but only for a few months for the reasons mentioned above. It wasn't reliable, the motor was temperamental and the left side hinge pin was loose and always falling out. To be honest, I only bought it for the unique way it opened and closed. Otherwise, it didn't offer much at all as a useable phone. I also had the Serenata and didn't find that appealing for long either. I do wish B&O would work on another landline telephone. The BeoCom 5 didn't really

  • Re: B and O products re-sale market value? Any help much appreciated.

Hi Ian, Welcome to Beoworld. I suggest checking eBay (Completed/Sold Prices) to see what the items you have listed sell for. They are older products in the range but still hold reasonable prices depending on condition. People will want items in excellent condition if not mint, so bear this in mind as it will affect the prices. You can also Google 'second hand used Bang Olufsen' and check out the results that come up. There are many business selling second hand B&O. All the best, Simon

  • Re: Beocenter 2 - Sound but no picture

If you are using the Beo 4 remote then see what options you have in the LIST button menu and try selecting a few; V.AUX, DVD2 or PC for example. I am assuming you usually use the TV button if DTV is assigned to your Apple TV? I have my Apple TV assigned as PC so it depends who programmed your remote and if you can check the physical connections to see what is plugged in and where. The Panasonic panel is more likely to be a D8-D10 depending on whether a BeoSystem 2 or BeoSystem3 is attached. Simon

  • Re: BV14 and Beovision Horizon - any feedback?

OK, now that we are down this rabbit hole, a quick follow up.... given my BV14 software saga, mentioned before that i'm thinking of swapping it for an Avant 55 (not NG).....question exercising me is whether the picture, screen is something i'd be happy with......if so, happy days, happy PQ + old software would be fine for me, given its my second screen.... anyway, with respect to the Avant's, confirmed that the original

  • Re: Beolab 3 vs. Beolab 8000 vs. Beolab 17 - for TV and Music ?

The Lab 3s would be my choice. They are an incredible speaker and often underestimated in terms of their performance I think. Truth is you're not going to make a bad decision whichever way you go when it comes to speakers and B&O. This is their forte and where they excel. Simon.
