  • Re: BeoLab 50 + 90 support now in beta

Is this the BeoRemote App? Any news on getting the version that supports BV14 in the app store? As a new BV14 owner that would be great. If you have a beta build I would be happy to test that out. Sorry for derailing the thread if this is not the remote app.

  • Beovision 14 - Questions after first week of ownership

Hello I got my BV14-55 and I am very happy with it. When fed 4k video I think the image is just amazing! I paired it with a Nvidia Shield PRO 4k which means I'm not too bothered with the fact that B&O hasn't updated the internal OS from Android 5 to 6. Android 5 only supports FAT32 formatted external USB drives so that + Netflix app was the main reason for getting the Shield, but since I have found more good use for the Shield. The new Shield 4k Pro + PUC works just fine in case anyome

Thanks Karel, thats exciting news. How do you know about the internal version? Funny how their settings page and other places refer to the app, without the app being actually out yet. Hope they release it soon!

  • Beovision 14 - Good time for a used model?

I’d like to get a used 55” BV14. The prices are around half the price of the retail price incl motorized wall Mount which I think is a pretty good deal for such a good looking TV. My questions/thoughts are: 1) Is an LG OLED refresh just a few weeks/months away? 2) How much better is the New LG panel in comparison? I like a good image but I am not a fanatic :) 3) I know LGs User Interface which the new model has inherited. It’s fine but also very LG. Is the lavest BV14 software stable

Thanks so much for the input! Very informative and helpful! I was reading up on 4k streaming. What is the current solution for streaming Netflix and Youtube 4k content? Do I need to add a Apple TV 4K or does the tv handle it natively?

  • BeoVision 10 + Non-B&O Sub

Hi forum I just got a BeoVision 10 40" from 2012 and while I am very pleased with the picture and B&O TV experience in general, I feel the BV10 could benefit from a good sub for watching good concert recordings. I'd like to hide the Sub, and I'd like to go for a lower-cost solution than a BL 2 and 19. Is it possible to connect a sub from a different brand than B&O? Any recommendations? Thanks!

  • Re: Beolab 8000 problem - Newbie here!

You have been a great help! I have contacted my local radio shop which I am sure have a fancy device to check the old speaker. Hopefully they can find the faulty resistors and bring the old pipes back to life :) Thanks!

  • Beolab 8000 problem - Newbie here!

Hi Once many years ago I was a member of this fine forum and my B&O passion ended up costing me way too much. Another hobby got in the way and I am happy to report my trusty B&O gear has been playing without a hitch for 8 years... until about a month ago! I have a set of first generation BL8000 speakers. They don't really sound that good, but good enough for dinner music and radio. The other night some old friends came by......... and the next morning one of the speakers sounded horrible

Hi 9Lee First of all thanks for the quick reply. All the drivers makes no sounds at all when I press them in the center to the very limit of how far back they can move. I did it 4-5 times rapidly in a row on each speaker. So it seems like a sick active-component or crossover. I have a radio specialist nearly is it something they could fix by identifying a tired resistor or would it make better sense to replace the entire logic board or speaker itself?
