  • Re: Beolink 7000 - getting there...

Somebody replaced the glass panel with the wrong part, a older version. A 1631 has no "Control" button... there is "Clock" instead.

  • Re: BeoSound 3 Problem

  • Re: Beosound 3000 CD not working.

Replacing the laser will always solve the problem for some time. 99% will work again... for some days, months, maybe a year. Of course also laser die... But when in the Environment of the laser is a problem with power supplies or a defect in the regulation Loop of the laser power, then it will be killed again after some time. First check all caps, then replace the laser. There is a reason that causes the problem, otherwise you just cure the symptom... and just for some time.

  • Re: Relaunch of older B&O products?

Who would buy a cd-player today? A record player... or an audio tape? A FM Stereo Radio??? AM ??? What's that? Nothing of these hardware has a future, just collectors. Good sound is not important today, a smartphone is much more important, even in very limited quality. So there will be no production of old hardware... outdated. But i dont care about that, i still use my BM7000 System every day, the Pentas and they still look nice. And i feel good with it :)

  • Re: Beomaster 6500 neu programmieren - Wie?

Also "normal".

  • Re: Beomaster 6500 neu programmieren - Wie?

Ansonsten muß man ins Service Menu.

  • Re: Beosystem / Beocenter 2300 going quickly to stand-by

The detector is 99% missing, only very old systems have it. It is a open connector, unused. There should be an own ground wire on the right side. Check the transformer and the board around... there could be a crack in the board or solder. 2,7V ? It's dying, 98% already dead. Replace it ... and DO NOT USE a cheap chinese battery. It wont last 20 years and it will leak acid on your board.

  • Re: MCP 6500 and Volume control, tried obvious.

Check the capacitors on the boards, i have seen several exploded in the MCP's. The switch decides UP or DOWN, the opto is responsible for the increments. Check the increments, it is a White/black adhesive tape around the wheel... and ist has an own power sticker... missing/open? Cleaner is not good, maybe the tape is gone now?

  • Re: Beosystem / Beocenter 2300 going quickly to stand-by

Hi, it could be the Lithium buffer battery inside the cpu board... the silver steel box. If the voltage is below 3V, then there can be crazy malfunctions. And after 20 years it's a good candidate for such a defect... Good luck! Martin
