• Re: Beovision 14-55 buy now or wait for LG update?

Having just listened to the B&O Q3 Interim Report, it sounds like the recent TV refresh is meant to last for some months, and they had little news on the LG partnership. I've been hesitating on an Avant NG, but think I may go forward since the software issues look to be getting resolved and I don't see anything imminent from LG (nor do we know specs, design, sizes, etc). I could wait for eternity always thinking about what gets released next...

  • Re: LG and the new/coming BV's - interesting read

From the articles and rumors on this site, two thoughts come to mind. First, we are unlikely to see anything larger than 65" in the near term come from the LG agreement, so it seems the Avant stays in the range at least a few more years. Second, since we have BV14, Horizon, and Avant NG running Android, and older sets running something else, how likely is it B&O supports yet another user interface with the LG sets? Is Android temporary or is it here to stay? I've been on the verge of

  • Re: Receiver Specification Needed

I'm in a similar position and trying to upgrade some parts (particularly video) while integrating our existing speakers and audio systems. It may help to list what you currently have and what you are looking to achieve.

  • Re: H3 or H5 ?

I replaced my A8's with the H3 ANC and was surprised at how great they sound. The ANC is great for plane travel and noisy areas. I also picked up the H5's because I got the iPhone 7. The dongle and ANC "pod" were cumbersome for quick usage or to take a call on the go. It's going to depend on usage. The H5's are easy to carry and use but need to be charged regularly. The H3's are a little better sounding and don't have to be charged, but you have a cable (and in my
We installed a NG brass edition earlier this week - very nice with matching Lab 18s and 19...
We love to see a picture of that.

  • Re: B&O - On track.... or not?

Not sure if it's the same with other dealers, but the one I visited on Black Friday said it was their highest number of transactions in a single day ever. They also said the Horizon has been a great seller, and they wish they could get Beosound 1 and 2's in stock because there has been a lot of interest. Just judging from the shop's comments and the breadth of options in the shop compared to a couple of years ago gives me hope for the brand.

  • Re: Black Friday deals

I was in Denmark this last week and a local dealer had 30% off the A6 and A2 for Black Friday. I couldn't pass up that deal, so I picked up an A6. Really impressed with it so far.

  • Re: Would you ever use a none B&O receiver as part of your system...

If you don't mind the bulkiness of the box, what about a Beosystem 1? I had an AV7000 years ago, and moved to the BS1 and found it better and easier to integrate. I've since moved to a Beosystem 3, as many others, and there are plenty available for cheap. You could use it as a video engine (if you only need 1080i) as well.

  • Re: BV14 |Avant NG |Horizon specs

Any chance we will see the Horizon or BV14 in larger sizes? Or is it only going to be the Avant for greater than 55"?

  • Re: Beosystem 2 vs beosystem 3 : same audio capabilities ?

I have an old Beosystem 1 that I was using in the same capacity. The picture went directly to the screen, but sound went to the BS1 so I could connect to BL 8000s and BL 4000s. It works just fine. Only problem is hiding the big box, but it's an inexpensive way to have sound processing for beolabs.
