• Re: BEOVISION ECLIPSE
@jfjbrussels I think what your dealer told you is correct. And as far as i’ve been told anything that is not network link will not work anytime soon/if at all. I was told that if i wanted to use a bs9000 for instance i would need to connect the aux into the eclipse, then on the eclipse go to aux input, and control the bs9000 manually. So it wouldn’t be very integrated at all. I don’t think they’ll do much backwards compatibility anymore besides
Very, very disappointing that B&O let their old costumer down in this way. NL/ML converter is now discontinued.
partly true.......a BLC can still be connected to other NL products and therefor the connection with older product is still intact. So I can start my BS9000 as source of an Essence and JOIN the Eclipse. Or Start the BS7000 record player connected at a BLC and JOIN the Eclipse (all done with the app). so if you can't buy it new anymore, find

 • Re: 24 bit / 192 kHz and why it’s silly
One of the best articles on why 24/192 makes no sense. Very helpful for me. I’m going you stick to CDs and stop thinking ‘what if...’ https://xiph.org/~xiphmont/demo/neil-young.html
I find it semi- scientifically and on points debatable! So after listening to music in different resolutions I came to the conclusion: for me 16bit 44.1kHz is minimum quality.
Missed the whole thing about controlled listening tests apparently. That's the other excellent part of the article. Having done and participated in such tests, I have learned full well how easily the ear and mind are tricked by unrelated things, and perceive things that aren't really there
Assumption! I know and have experienced the effect! still my point: it is semi- scientifically written and on points debatable stands. For example the simple point of
No I don't own this forum. But when this thread is named BEOVISION ECLIPSE and people are talking of buying a Loewe, then I think this is the wrong forum for those people. If you wanna talk to those "who are seeking a path forward on the OLED", then why talk to them here in a forum for the BV Eclipse? Look for a forum with names like: Beovision vs other brand or Beo vs Loewe. I think people should share their experience and aspects about the BV
