• Re: BS Essence in an integrated setup with tv?

HI Flere, I have a core integrated with BV11. I can confirm that Spotify connect works very well. Google Cast does not work at all though (if you look at the set up page in the B&O app there's a disclaimer stating the same). I'm having a problem with my core as it does not play music stored on my NAS (I use twonkyserver) and all my files are flac from ripped CDs. The source Music is shown on my BV11 but whenever I call a song from my NAS using the B&O app, it doesn't play (the

Hi MM, I have a BS Core integrated with BV11 with BL9 as fronts and BL3s as surrounds and backs on a 7.1 setup. The reason I included a core into this is because I wanted to get spotify connect and chromecast added to my setup and control music via the B&O app. I also use DLNA a lot and have a large library stored on my NAS (qnap) using twonky server. All my files are in FLAC format and most were ripped from my old CD collection. Chromecast and airplay do not work on an integrated setup (apparently

  • Re: Beosound Core

Hi all, I received my Beosound Core yesterday and set it up to be integrated with my Beovision 11-46 (i.e. share the same speakers). Both Spotify Connect and Deezer sources work seamlessly, i.e. I'm able to stream the any song via the B&O app or Spotify app and they play on my BV with no issues. However, I'm having trouble playing music files (flac) from my own library via BS Core on my BV. On the BV, it shows the 'link' symbol and music as a source, including the metadata, but

  • Re: BeoSound Moment

Hi all, I've just talked to my dealer and he said the Moment will only be available for the U.S. market in July. This is very disappointing and I hope he is wrong...

Have you noticed that Mr Geoff answered # 5 : ie, he as non B & O speaker(s) !
I wondered if anyone would catch that. My non-B&O loudspeakers are a pair of custom made units - designed, built, and tuned by me. I have some friends that know a thing or two about how to make a loudspeaker, so I had a little help - mostly with programming the DSP. My dad was a carpentry instructor

  • Re: SACD Hybrid reading ?

@John, Not a problem, only after I posted my request to you was when I finally understood that the issue was really the BV not accepting 88.2kHz and 176.4kHz audio signal via HDMI. It is kind of odd that it doesn't accept these sample rates but it does accept the higher sample rates of 96kHz or 192kHz... Anyways, I wrote the Oppo customer service to inquire what my BDP-105D player was really doing when playing back SACD to my BV11 and, after some back and forth, here's what I got: We have
It sounds as if I'm still out of luck playing M/C SACD's via my Sony Bluray player through the HDMI input then for the time being. At the time I tried it and got no sound, I checked the Sonys specs, and it outputs DSD converted to PCM at 88.2 as I recall.
Hi John, Apologies if I trouble you, but have you tried to play your SACDs recently? I'm curious as to whether you would get a different result, specially because apparently the BV11 media player
Seems that the HomeMedia/MediaPlayer is a pretty good music player - (if it had a search function, it would be perfect).
I agree!

  • Re: SACD Hybrid reading ?
Hi again, Instead of waiting on an "official" answer, I just ran a quick check on our BV11 in the listening room, using SW v.1.0.6.35496 (the latest release). 2-channel 88.2 kHz, 24 bit FLAC files can indeed be played via the Homemedia player (as can 44.1, 48, 96, and 192 kHz). 2-channel 176.4, 352.8, and 384 kHz are not currently playable in the Homemedia player in this SW release version. I didn't check any other formats or bit depths. Cheers
