• Re: Shipping disaster...

Not bad at all! This page by Søren might be useful: http://forum.beoworld.org/wikis/memberspages/wood-and-veneer-care.aspx However, the surfaces on your cabinet look pretty good so you probably don't need all that. I have used fine grit sandpaper and finishing with regular teak oil with cabinets that don't have too many scratches or flower pot imprints. If you plan to work further on that corner, finish all that before applying any oils though.

  • Re: Beomaster 7000 tuner and Aux connection

TV/AUX is on a different Datalink bus, but other than that, it should behave exactly the same as the tape connections - both in & out. If TP1 and TP2 work normally with your cable, I suppose there must be some internal problem in the Beomaster. The simplest case might be cracked solders, if somebody has yanked on the cable in the past.

  • Re: Beolink 1000 shematic

It's a processor with the firmware in mask programmed ROM. In short, a custom part made for B&O and it cannot be replaced with anything generic from another source.

  • Re: Beware of firmware version 1.15.16926

I can confirm my A6 does now the same. Switch TuneIn channels back & forth enough times (not even that many) and you lose sound and all sensible response both via the app and contact operations. Only way to get back to playing seems to be pulling the plug.

  • Re: some datalink specifice

If your preamp is properly wired with regards to Datalink, you can connect it to the CD input (If you don’t already have one there). The CD is just another Beogram as far as Datalink is concerned.

  • Re: Bang olufsen mx 7000 ghosting issues

If you call up the menu of the TV when this problem is on, do you see the same ghosting next to the OSD displays? If yes, it’s internal to the TV set. My MX6000 does that as well, usually while warming up. I suspect it is a bad solder somewhere but haven’t bothered investigating further as I rarely use the set, and the problem eventually goes away every time.

  • Re: Have we reached 'Peak' B&O?
I don't like the M5 and i don't see why they axed the A8 it was iconic and the last wonderful design by David Lewis. I thought it was the fastest selling product ever made by b&o. It lasted less than 5 years.
The A8 was doomed the moment Apple changed their docking standard (and as it now seems, docking went out of business altogether). While I can at least stand the looks of it now, I can also remember how it was hated on the forum when it first

  • Re: How to attach metal bases to Beolab 8000

The pole has a thread, so how about a nut? (and a washer, your friendly seller probably kept all these fasteners for some important purpose)
