• Re: Beoplay V1
Talked to my local dealer but they've never heard of such a problem.
Your dealer may have not heard of the problem, but clearly you have a problem which needs to be fixed with their assistance. I am assuming you have checked the batteries in your remote control?

  • Re: Red "bits" in Beolab 4000 wall brackets

Nigel, The Beolab 4000 hanging brackets cannot be used without the red locking clips. The clips lock the speakers in place and to unlock them you push the bottom red pin to unlock them

  • Re: Avant DVD firmware upgrade

For a mark 3 AVANT DVD the last update released was 16.3 For Mark 1 & 2 the last release was 10.4 The B&O part # 8344288 is fine if your were ordering it from B&O, but as they don't have those parts any more it will not be much help to you. In my view you will almost only get the chip you require from an AVANT being broken up for scrap

  • Re: Ongoing Software problems- letter to CEO/ BeoCare NO RESPONSE
Thats probably a fair and honest response Lee. Happy New Year to you. P.s The Beocentre 2 I bought from you all those years ago is still working beautifully (as a standalone radio/ cd player)
David, As many Beoworld members have noted most new products have software bugs no matter what brand you buy and I think that this is accepted by most reasonable people. However, what is not acceptable is when a product has basic functionality issues which are clear

What does the faulty Beocom 6000 say on the screen? Does the handset find the base or does it ask for a password?

  • Re: Master Link Cable Splicing????
Why not just use the junction boxes - that is what they are meant for!
There are several reasons why you may not use a junction box. If your master link cables are in the same room for example using a junction box may well be the right and a good solution. However, where you have a multi-room where cables are going through a wall or similar barrier then having a plug at the end of the cable can be an issue. Also buying per-made cable lengths will almost

  • Re: Master Link Cable Splicing????

When splicing two or more cables together the three screen/earth wires must be connected to their associated two wire bundle. When I splice cables I always solder the joints with thin heat shrink tube over each joint. See example of one of my junction boxes

  • Re: Master Link Cable Splicing????
1.) I planned to just cut 1 meter ML cables in half and splice the ends to the bulk cable I had run. Can this be done? I am not able to get this to work. I am wondering if there is something special that needs to be done with the bare wire strands with the B/BW G/GW O/OW and B/BW pairs and or special handling or precaution for the shielding around each group?
Yes it can be done, but ensure each of the screened wires are also connected..

  • Re: Apologies for BeoWorld Downtime..
I was wondering if something changed, or if it’s just me. I’ve already deleted the app and reinstalled it twice to no avail. Thank you in advance!
Nothing was changed, it was just a major power outage which was not fixed very quickly. I cannot explain the situation you have described and I checked the thread myself and I could not see anything wrong. I can only assume that you may have been in that thread when the power went down and you received
