• Re: MMC 2 needle askew

http://www.sound-smith.com/rebuilding-your-bo-cartridge Any high end cartridge repair is more expensive than swapping in a new stylus on a low end cartridge. I've been super happy with a MMC2 rebuild I had done by pickupservicedk via eBay. Here is another option for full rebuild. https://www.tonabnehmerservice.de/en/B-O-Restoration/Recovery-MMC-1-5-All-images-used-sample-images/

  • Re: Beogram 5000 side noise

It should not make any noise. Could be belt, motor, height adjustment, transport screws tightened, an obstruction, for starters. If the seller or someone else put a too tight belt in, the motor could be damaged and noisy. At higher volumes, sounds from the table will noticeably distort your music.

There are Rubber surrounds and not foam on the S45.2.

I think the only RL with foam surrounds were the 140s. You should be ok but Ive never owned RL45s to say for sure.
Hi! I am trying to organize a party in Riva del Garda (Italy), which will be open to all B&O beer lovers who are willing to come. 1. Paolo Mariano (Italy) 2. Peter Swanson (USA)
I will try but it is very possible I won't be able to. This is an amazing itinerary you have put together. I highly appreciate the amount of work you are putting into this, what a guy!

  • Re: sound question: rx2 w/beomaster 2400 & s75 speakers

I've bought a few cheap din to rca and din to 3.5mm and had several issues with both styles. It is totally worth it in money and time and frustration to buy good connectors and cables. Steve at 'sounds heavenly' is the way to go- the din to rca (ask for the female adaptors) is very well made. The external preamp could narrow the problem down to cart or cable. The suspension is what often goes on these carts with age. Rebuilds are available and recommended if you value you vinyl investments

It should be pretty deep and full from the RX2. First thing that jumps to my mind is the condition of the cartridge and if the tonearm is set right and the caps for the phono stage.

  • Re: Challenge for the brave - anyone up for it?!

oh, i didn't see the pdf. I've spent lots of time with Littmanns, me and most everyone I work with use them. Being in St Paul, I live very close to 3M and know a few engineers from there and even an electronic engineer who worked with Littmann. Thanks MM for the info, I had no idea B&O was involved with Littmann, so cool. Right now I've been working on using an electronic stethoscope with a bluetooth transmitter to a bluetooth receiver for use in our Special Pathogens Containment
